@Skeptic51 She went to both Mt. Sac and Citrus, I think. Mostly Citrus, though.

I’m 24, I applied to all the UC’s except for Merced. I already got into some of the CSU’s. Good luck everyone! =]

Non traditional 29. Hit the big 30 this year. applied to SDSU, SFSU, UCI, UCSB, UCI, UCLA.

Just got a call from UCSB to discuss my application. Ive never heard of a school actually calling someone. The convo was very positive and the last thing she said to me was “Decisions start going out March 19th and it shouldnt take that long for you to receive your ac…decision”. what do u guys think?

Inquiring mind, you’re not anthropology with Dr Johnson are you?

norcaltransfer77: Yes, I have Biological Anthropology with Dr. Johnson at Napa Valley College and last semester took Intro to Archaeology with her. She is a excellent professor. I have gotten to know her a bit and we have gone on field trips together with the Anthropology Club. She teaches the same courses at Sac State.

First of all. I’m 24(probably the youngest here) but I wanted to say that I have much respect for all of you in this thread for being older and pursuing college the traditional route. I feel that we have more life experience and ambition at this age. For me, I was never good at school, even got kicked out of HS for my grades(not for being a bad kid). I went to ccc after HS just because that’s what your supposed to do but got sucked into that “loser” ccc crowd and started doing a lot of drugs. Once I realized I wasn’t doing anything and wasting money, I cleaned up and got a full-time job in sales for a wholesale company. After doing that for 4 years, I realized that I wanted more money and went back to cc in 2009. I must say that the past 3 years at ccc I have learned more than I have throughout my whole 12 yr school career and I’m happy that I’m transferring now. At least none of us went the route of Devry, or ITT Tech. LOL.

And for those of you who are older, congrats to you! I imagine that it is extremely hard to get back into traditional school at that age. I hope you all get into the schools of your choice!
