Where to dorm shop in LA?

I am now worried that Target may be sold out of things for the dorm. My son did not like the comforters at BBB (I don't blame him). Has anyone in LA been to any other stores they like for the dorm shopping and seen plenty of stock on hand? Has anyone seen no or extremely limited stock? I bought twin XL sheets here since they are not heavy to put on a plane.

I liked Target for my dorm supplies and the stores that I have seen pretty much have leftovers. Most items are already on sale.

I got my comforter from Ikea. It's like a build your own one where you choose the cover and you choose how you want the "filling" to be.

And then you have this:

There's a wal-mart near there somewhere too, except.. its not so pretty either :/

If your S wants something "nicer" than found at BBB, he might like Macy's (large department store with decent sales on bedding). There is one a few miles from campus at 750 W. Seventh St. at Flower Street, Downtown, Los Angeles, CA Tel: 1-213-628-9311. Also, the comforter can be twin size (doesn't need to be twin xl) so that gives more options.

Went out there cold last August with my daughter. Between Target and Best Buy on La Brea in West Hollywood and BBB in Beverly Center, we found everything she needed. Be forewarned, the Target closest to campus (La Cienega) was pretty well cleaned out the afternoon of move in day. But there is no shortage of shopping in SoCal if you don't mind driving a little.
