I have been accepted to both Case Western Reserve University and the University of Michigan, and I would like to know which is better for premed. Any information would be appreciated!

The best school is the one at which you are going to be able to accomplish the most. People on this board tend to be a little superficial when it comes to colleges. Go to the college that you want, that will get you involved, that will be the best atmosphere for you to succeed both academically and socially. Both Case Western and Michigan are great schools. Find out which one you like and go there. No medical school is going to differentiate between Case Western and Michigan and as long as you study the premed material, you can get a great score on the great equalizer, the MCAT, regardless of which school you attend.

FordGT i cn give u some adivce cause i applied to both of those schools as well...

depends what type of kid u are...both are very hard premed routes now doubt

UM: very big student body, u will REALLY have to focus and be able to do things on ur own...everything including academics is really sweet... I am currently at UM

Case Western: they really make u work for ur GPA....but its much much much much smaller than UM...case's student body is like what 5,000??? compared to UM's 36,000?? Case there will probably be more contact with professors and people will help u out more

but all in all...go to the one u think u will be successful in, AND also enjoy being a college student there

umar, which college did you ultimately choose?

hint: "I am currently at UM"

haha didn't see that...

haha interestingly enough, i'm currently deciding between Case Western Reserve and U Michigan. I'm at a complete loss for where to attend.
I understand from the post that Case is not big on grade inflation, but i don't really know about U of Michigan.
