which is your favorite dinning hall?

Yeah, the prices I found seemed darn high for poor starving students.

I remember my freshman year, it was 8/9/10. Yes, the cost is high for college students ...... but dinner is actually worth it ........ you go live near the beach and you can only get an appetizer for $10.

i would not pay $10 for dorm food...

MmMmM themed dinners. So my friend stole all the decorations, ie, the pineapples and coconuts and ****. LOL

Theme dinner makes up for everything

Haha. I wonder if people would get tired of themed dinners if it was everyday. I think yes.

Haha, if they keep cycling the two themed dinners, then yes. Hopefully they'll have a new theme in the coming years.

What is the record for items taken out of the dining hall?

I took a cup on accident this one time. Just walked out and didn't even realize it until I was in the elevator.

I saw this guy try to take a BUNCH of bananas. Like 8-10 of them. The person swiping in was like HEY!!@@^$#^%$ so they made him put it back or something like that. Didn't stay to see what happened.

^I remember that, we were walking out behind him

It says outside Covell that you can like take out a muffin or 2 cookies or something like that. But yeah nothing more. (pocket it! haha)

i've seen people wearing baggy sweatshirts take out bags of cereal. as in, the bags they use to restock the bins.

I saw someone try to take out a ketchup bottle by hiding it inside his swimming robe, but he was caught haha

my friend regularly takes out burger or pizza from de neve, the swipers don't really care about it since he kinda knew as and we say hi to him every time, they even started to recommend which dish to get for us, also we got a lot of cups from the dining halls lol

I know of someone who took over 30 plates and utensils for some event they were having. They did it over a pretty long period though, and then they managed to get it all back in too. All happened at de neve. pretty ****ing amazing. Same people who took all the decorations for the hawaiian themed dinners.

Wow, major props to them! That's cool they gave it back, too. I wonder if missing plates, utensils, and ketchup can account for the astronomical price of room & board at UCLA.

That is a definite yes.

Yay- the fact that this thread has many replies makes me happy to be at a place where food is an important concern of students :)

Haha. Oh yeah I knew of these two guys that took like 10+ bottles of hot sauce. Forgot which kind it was. Louisiana stuff perhaps. They told me it was for their apartment next year. LOL.

i wanted to take a bottle of sriracha but i never got around to it.

i think my personal record was like 6 oranges (hoodies FTW). it was first year so i dont remember the exact number.

Some freshman was smart enough to attempt to take something out of the back door like the first month.

How about record of broken plates?
