I got into Georgetown EA and I promised myself I wouldn't spend 300+ dollars on other applications. Looking back I should have applied to at least one ivy (yale?). But I don't regret it. I'm looking forward to Georgetown! :)

i wish i applied to middlebury...liked it and they actually had a DROP in applications while like everywhere else went up

I wish I had applied to Georgia tech and Michigan instead of Milwaukee School of Engineering and U of Minnesota. Oh, well... life goes on.

I almost wised I had applied to Emory too, until I realized they aren't the best for pre-med...

I regret not applying to UChicago, Georgetown, Northwestern, and a few others. I really should have done more research. sigh Guess I'll have to wait 'til grad school.

Well, I wish I could have applied to MIT, Swarthmore, Harvard, Princeton and Emory. Actually I did apply to Harvard, but withdrew because I got into Penn, my top choice :)

i regret not applying to UMich becasue it was my top choice but i felt like i had no chance of getting in...looking back i think i could have had a chance and should have applied...also they wanted way too many essays...oh well...too late now

-and it would have sucked to get that rejection letter after writing all those essays!

Scamming through the thread and reading, this thread seems so depressing. I'm currently a junior in high school, though I'll try my best to apply to all school I have high interest in.

I wish I had applied to Cal Tech. However, I am happy that 6 of 8 schools I applied to are in the Northeast or Midwest. I believe occasionally bad weather is an acceptable trade off for being in a more awesome area.

I wish I COULD HAVE applied to Vanderbilt ED. More than 10 of my friends from Vanderbilt's summer program got in ED. It's disheartening to see them (with similar stats or slightly lower stats than me) go to the place where I've dreamed of going, when I have a moderate chance that I may not get in.

But I don't have the money so I couldn't afford to apply to Vanderbilt and blindly accept any "ouch" to "GAH!" financial aid package.

sigh

oh yeah that was the same thing with me and jhu ED. I think I would have had to not apply for aid...and no way could I afford that.

i was torn between northwestern and brown for ED. fortunately, i got into NU, but I still have a tinge of regret/curiosity about brown.

I wish I'd applied to Skidmore. I wish I hadn't applied to Williams, UWisconsin, and UPenn

I wish I had applied to Williams. I thought I wouldn't get in and still do now. but just curious. I will never know for sure

I wish I had applied to Stanford and Brown. Both are heavily affirmative action schools that are willing to lower their standards for "diversity."

I wish I had applied to Williams. I had been intimidated by its academic rigor, but now in retrospect I would have appreciated it.

basketballbabe13 -- the CB page said the due date was 1/15, and my counselor isn't letting me apply to any more. : /

that sucks! My counselor didn't limit me in any way regarding applications.

Well, to be fair, I applied to a huge number because I didn't research well and because I'm pretty paranoid about my chances anywhere. She also made me pull out a ton of applications because she didn't tell me how many fee waivers I could use, nor how to find that sort of information (I looked everywhere on the student part of the site only for her to find it on the GC site). Overall it was a pretty sucky situation, meh.

I regret applying to Robert Morris University. No chance in hell I'm going, even if they offer a full ride.

I wish I had applied to Duke. This winter is freezing, I'm starting to question my liberal arts college-laden list (though I guess I'll see what happens), I love college basketball, and it was my dream school in middle school (ha!).
