which state do I reside to?

Ok I’m currently a freshman at a SUNY college. I was able to get in state tuition for 2014-2015. Then my parents moved the summer of 2014 to California to start a new business. As of now, I live with my aunt’s family in NEW JERSEY. In addition, I’ve lived in NY for 8 years. So would this make me a NJ,NY,or CA resident? Hopefully, I can be considered NY resident so I can get the insate tuition. Thanks guys!

It looks like you can keep your NY residency.

Non-resident students may be eligible for resident tuition if they have graduated from a New York high school or received a NYS GED within 5 years of application to SUNY. See below for details under exceptions to the Domicile Rule.

Non-resident students, including undocumented students, who attend for at least two years and graduate from a New York high school may be eligible for resident tuition. See the campus Student Accounts Office (Bursar) for details and to apply for resident tuition.
