Hey guys! University of Notre Dame is my top school, but it's a HUGE reach for me. Does anyone know if it's easier to get into the School of Arts and Sciences than the Business School? If I apply to one, can I transfer to the other?

Anyone who is a current student at the University of Notre Dame or who has graudated from Notre Dame, your help would be greatly appreciated!!!

What would happen if you appy, get in, and enroll in the school that you don’t want to be in and then aren’t able to transfer. Don’t think like that.

Yeah, that’s why I was trying to find out if I can transfer between undergraduate schools if I get in. I know some schools, like Cornell don’t let you transfer between some of their undergradate schools.

At ND, all Freshmen apply to the First Year of Studies. Unlike many other prestigious institutions you do not apply to a certain college within the University. Now, for the most part, students know what they plan to study, and, therefore, they tailor their schedule to suit their plans. But, if you want to come to ND to explore various programs or if you want to decide later what you plan to pursue, there are plenty of University Requirements that you can take during your first (and maybe second) semester(s).

So, in short, if you want to come to ND to study business, you will not enter the Mendoza College of Business until your sophomore year at the conclusion of your time in the FYS program.
