Who at CC is on the Waitlist??

Title says it all. Discuss

yup waitlisted. well last year they took 18 ppl. in 2005 they took about 250.
im not going to get my hopes up.
have you called or sent anything to them?

i'm on the waitlist.

i just sent an updated transcript...have u?

I got off the waitlist last year for ILR, so don't lose hope guys!

I'm on the waitlist.

so it seems theres a fair amount of us. do we have a chance in hell at the college of arts and sciences?

Daughter on the waitlist....she sent them a listing of a few items.....mostly EC updates and a few private scholarships won.

S accepted a place on the CALS waitlist, sent a letter with some new achievements/awards, but is in love with the school he will attend. In the unlikely event Cornell accepts him, he'll re-evaluate.

i heard that kids who are accepted off of the waitlist start hearing by may 10th, is there any truth to this?

I'm on the waitlist too.

I am also interested in an answer to luckycharms's question. Anyone?

3223 were put on the waitlist this year. It really depends on how many decide to matriculate. Just to be realistic, you should not count on the waitlist to get into Cornell because a great majority of students, I'm guessing at least 90+%, will not get off the waitlist.

On the waitlist too.

i heard some ppl have gotten guarenteed transfer at the end. anyone know anything about this?

waitlist here too!

When you send them updates, do you have to make photocopies of your recent awards/achievements or can you just say "Oh I got blah blah."

And ditto the question about GT. Do waitlisted people get GT offers in the end? Or is that not likely.

I don't believe they offer GT for CAS. GT offers have been sent out already with the RD. This round, if you get off the waitlist, most likely it's for Fall of 2007. You could all hear as early as next week (the week of 5/7). As of last week, they still don't know if they will go to the waitlist pool. This information is from my D's college counselor.

ahh...i'm on the waitlist too!

i mailed them a one page long letter saying stuff...

is that true about week of 5/7? do you they email you or call you?

call, supposedly. but i think it can be through the entire month of may?

It can be through the entire month of May and beyond. It will be interesting to see what happens this year with Cornell. They admitted less students, but less people were accepted to HYPS, therefore Cornell's yield rate may go up.
