Is there a phone number on the SATs that I could call or email since I'm starting to believe there is a problem with my SATs?

I scored a

Math: 750
Reading: 650
Writing: 580

I really don't believe that I got a 580 on writing. On my last 8 practice test, My scores have been from 670 to 750. Theres no way I could've scored that low. Even the range they've given me hasn't fallen lower than 580. I also felt really confident about the writing section.

Is there a way I could get SATs to double check my score? I got a 9 essay also, which is wierd because I got a 9 on my last testing and this time my essay is much better.

same with me, i thought i did much better on the writing the second time i took it and i actually went down. I got a 9 on the essay and got a 580 on the writing the second time.

Whats going on though. Is there a phone number I could call. I'm really getting worried. My friend scored a 620 with an 8 essay and I completely dominated him on all the practice test by over 80 points.

Did you include examples from life and literature? like- two from each? And was your essay the full 2 pages? I have a hunch that they do go by the length of the essay. Good luck on attempting to find out what is wrong with your scores- if anything.

My essay was 2 pages and it was from literature and history. I talked about Jane Eyre and Daniel Shay from a prompt that talked about how challenging authority shapes a better environment.

hmm 14 wrong feels like a lot more wrong than i should get. I haven't gotten more than 10 wrong on my last 10 practice test from the blue book. On the final online course test (the one previously administered), I scored a 670 on writing(i felt unconfident on that test too). so hmm... has anybody heard of cases when rescoring actually helped them?(not counting instances when the score report says the tester omitted questions even though the tester obviously knew he didn't omit anything)

This topic is exactly why estimating your scores are a waste of time. Another example, today in school everyone was checking their SAT scores. One kid said that he definitely got around an 800 on the math because it was so easy. I tried so hard not to laugh when he checked his score and got only a 650. Some people do worse on the real thing and some people do better, you just have to take it and find out.

My kid just got his October scores, and is really disappointed. His math and writing were in the mid 600s and basically stayed the same (his reading went down 10 points). He had scored 700 on the writing portion the last two times he took the SATs as a Junior. This time he only got a 580!!! He had been practicing, reading the books, using the software, etc., since this was his last time, and he was trying to hit 1300. Didn't happen.

On the positive side, he's getting nearly perfect grades this year in honors and an AP class which is a boost to his GPA.

Is there a Tiki God of Schools that keeps kids off balance? Where can I sacrifice some poultry to get this kid a break?

Hey, I got a 750 writing (11 essay) in May. In October, I received a 610 (8 essay). This doesn't make sense how I could drop so low. I'm crossing my fingers that CB screwed up because a lot of people's writing scores are whack.
