WHOA...coicidence?

okay, so i took the november sats and got a 2180 on them...my combined score is 2220. however, just to be sure, i have requested a handscore for my nov sats. Yesterday i called up NYU to ask them whether or not they have recieved my November SATs. the admissions guys said "yes, 2220." and hung up. Then i realized sumthin...i was only asking the guy about my NOV sats, did he just happen to give me my combined score? if he did (it must hv only taken him 5 seconds to add up my top section scores from 3 sittings idk.) so immediately, i thought that my REscored scores were sent to NYU...i went to collegeboard.com and found that my scores hvn't changed....my BEST guess is that...CB rescored my test a couple days ago...found mistake and immediately notified NYU..they however, are waiting for all the rescores to come in and get scores beofre they repost our scores....do you think this is plausible? i got home today from practice at 5:30...so i couldn't get to the NYU admissions again or CB...

Perhaps the admission reader could only see your superscore... Your story might be evidence of the fact that when a college states that they "only look at the top score of each section", they really mean it because the admission reader never even sees your actual scores. Just a guess though.

You -> College Board -> Score in Snail Mail -> Data Entry Clerk (Highest Super Score) -> Admission Officer
Most likely

has anyone here got his/her sats handscored?

Colleges keep superscores in their databases. I know on my application status screen for all the colleges I've applied to so fair, for SAT they list the superscore. He probably just saw that. Why are you so confident there was a mistake with your test?

well...i was pretty confident both math and cr. i would have taken the score but the thing is that when i finished the test...i looked it over and saw that there were smug marks from the dark bubbles imprint from the pages sticking together...i tried to erase some of them, but my proctor thought i was cheating...at the time i just wanted to get out of there...but now, i just want to be 'sure' that nothing went wrong lol
