Has anyone else applied yet? I've received my applicant ID but nothing has been updated.

Yeah, my self-service thing has everything I sent in.

All my self service thing says it has is my fee waiver. I'm going to call later this week to make sure they got everything (sent like 2 weeks ago) if it doesn't get updated by then.

Ah just finished the supplemental essays and turned them in (finally)..now the waiting begins..

I just called. My stuff is in, but none of it has been processed.

I am applying to CALS in spring.

Current school: U of Maryland-College Park
Major- Applied Economics and Management(AEM)

Very excited for the decision to come already.

I'm working on the application right now. Should have it done right before the due date!

I'm a Junior at Colorado State University with a 3.724 GPA (3.805 after this semester)
Majoring in Psychology and an Honors Student

Hopefully everything will work out, otherwise I'm applying for Fall 2009!

Sam

Has anyone gotten confirmation via the self-service that everything is in and processed?

Did you say you did spartan89?

My self-service has everything but the supplement (I just turned it in yesterday). I didn't think that they gave application status accts to spring transfers, but I guess they do..

Anyone hear anything new? I wonder if they'll extend the deadline like they did last year.

DarkStar, they extended the dead-line last year? By how much longer did they extend it.

Yeah, when I log into self-service, it doesn't have a list of required materials. It just says that they need an application fee to process my application. I paid the fee 2 days ago and nothing has changed. I hope they recieved everything I sent them. I'm worried.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! Hopefully, I'll get to see some of you by January(If I get accepted).

CALS doesnt require SAT or ACT right?
so do i have to submit them?
also: can anyone help me with a reading sample of a personal essay, i have no idea how to write one......
thanks

It takes a few days for payment to be processed and posted....if you see no update in 10 business days...then I would give them a call.

I know it's hard...but try not to worry...they may be processing thousands of applications right now...but they very rarely lose or misplace anything.

Yeah, I have the same message about the fee, except I paid 12 days ago. When I called recently, they said they'd have my stuff processed in a few days so I'm trying to be patient.

Zakaqel, I think the original deadline was March 15th and they extended it to the 31st last year.

Spartan,

Does the "payment" part on your CommonApp say downloaded? Mine only says submitted. I wonder if that makes a difference.

if your school (Michigan State) doesn't do midterm grades how are we supposed to submit spring midterm reports

You just have to go to your professors and ask them for a grade.

^Like DarkStar said...just go in, explain the situation and ask your prof to give his/her best estimate of your grade at this point.

DarkStar, mine says submitted as well. Maybe "Downloaded" means it has been recieved by the university?

BTW, do you guys know anything about the housing available for transfer students? And When does Spring Semester start at Cornell? I haven't looked into that yet...

On campus housing is guaranteed for incoming transfers....you'll most likely be placed in a West Campus facility as that is where many December grads live and so their space will be available come January.

Check the academic calendar for semester start dates...transfers come to campus one week prior to the start of class for orientation.
