Why even do academic change?

So I been sending back and forth with the UCSD representatives about the academic change that I made a few weeks ago. They said that no decision is made until the final transcript is being review. I been heard a lot of people that you should always report any change as soon as possible whether it is before or after the acceptance letter come out. But does it really matter if they are just going to do it after the final transcript is in anyway?
Does anyone have an explanation?

In my case, I dropped a prerequisite class for my major so I was wondering if it jeopardy my acceptance. I keep telling them that doing the review during Summer would obviously put the people like me in a floating boat that does have a place to go. Since the registration for fall is like in July and if we don't apply then we will no have classes to get in if we get rescind. Their reply was it was fair for everyone to review case to case on regular basic.
What do you guys think?

P.S. If any of you guys think we should haven't drop or blow up a class then we deserve in this situation, please make a new thread to discuss that.
Thanks!

That’s the chance that you have to take unfortunately  It’s standard that they will only review your grades after they receive your transcripts and make a decision then. If you think that you might be rescinded, you should SIR somewhere else.

I would do that if I get into other schools.
The thing here is why they did not evaluate individuals that updated their academic changes? I heard a lot of people who get in the waitlists so if they do find me not meeting their provision they could rescind me right now and give that spot to someone else. I don’t mind get rescind right now, it would such a relief knowing I get rescinded and do whatever I could to get in next year. But here they wait until the time where the registration for Fall happen which I don’t know I should sign up for classes or I should not. I also haven’t turn in Financial Aid for the 2012 year as well. Basically, I will not have financial aid and even if I do I could not sign up since all the spot already been taken by the time the final decision comes out.
