This has been the most interesting thread to read Very enternaining.

Well, good, Iām glad you bumped it up five months to tell us that.

Are people at Yale all obsessed about Harry Potter? If so, I wouldnāt even apply. Iād think people at a such prestigious school would be more creative and unique. I hope thatās not the way with the rest of the Ivy League schools.
Is there even a place where I can get a good education without being a pop literature nerd?

The grade inflation at Brown, maybe?

am i the only one glad that she isnāt going to be at yale when iām there?

Oh jeez grouptheory, way to be an ignorant, arrogant you-know-what. Seriously? Youāre ānot even going to applyā to one of the greatest universities in the world because the students may or may not like a childrenās fantasy novel? Are you kidding me?

You know what? Yes, people at Yale generally love Harry Potter. We like that our dining hall looks like the Great Hall, and a lot of us dress like Harry Potter characters for Halloween. But weāre also brilliant physicists, chemists, authors, journalists, and researchers, and weāre one of the most diverse campuses in the country. We read Brecht, Steinbeck, Nietzsche, Herodotus, and Dickenson as well as Harry Potter. But please, donāt apply to Yale. Do us all a favor and spare us having to sit in lit section with you.

just curious - have you met her?

Probably not. In my experience, kids at Harvard and Dartmouth like Harry Potter too. You are probably going to have to go to some very remote location like say Uzbekistan to find a place where Harry Potter is not popular with college-age kids.

My take:
- She wants to take some classes and the open curric at Brown would make that possible.
- She was rejected at Yale. My interviewer said they do not mind doing that.
- She did not apply to Yale. I dunno how that might be, but she visited campus, and we dunno if she really applied. She visited Harvard too cuz my friend saw her and refused to blv he say her. He is in love with her and it ****es me off. (jus a lil bit)

She applied but never completed the application: therefore, Yale did not reject her.
