Will 2 W's hurt my chances or should I not do this... (quick story inside)

I already have 1 W in a mythology course from my 1st semester at community college which I retook and got an A.

3 semesters later I am now taking my first math course which is a remedial math course called Intermediate Algebra.

I believe I can successfully take the test to test out of it. I think I'm going to get a B MAYBE even a C+ depending on the final (probably could've gotten an A if it wasn't a 6-week online course) in the class which will bring down my GPA.

I don't even need the class for any requirements since it's a remedial class and won't transfer...

Would it be worth it to test out of it and then withdraw from the class with a W or just take the B which will bring down my GPA for transferring.

Will colleges look down on my candidacy for having 2 W's? And do you think they'd understand why I did it?

Don’t you have to take Intermediate Algebra to get to College Algebra? If you tested into Intermediate Algebra, I would suggest you stick with it. No it won’t transfer but it’ll prepare you for College Algebra.

@smurray09 I was 2 points away from testing into college level math initially. And no I don’t need College Algebra. I only need a Stats class for my major.

Well since you don’t need it, I’d just drop and go straight into stats.

Retake the test. If you pass it, drop the class.
