Will a 740 Writing score help a 610 Verbal Score

i got a 740 in the writing section but i scored a terrible 610 in the verbal section, should my writing score help to outweigh my verbal score, any and all input negative and posistive would be appreciated

no; but 610 is not bad, it's pretty good. where are you applying to.

P.S. most coleges don't really care about writing most. Ivy's some do some dont but they dont know to much about it.

i think colleges will take the 740 writing in consideration but it definitely wont replace the 610 verbal

A lot of things we are seeing - scholarship applications, tuition waivers etc - they have minimum required scores that are based on CR and Math only. The writing seems to be not merely less important but totally diregarded in almost every case. My D also had a much higher writing than CR score. So based on our observations I would say the writing score will probably not outweigh the CR score.
