UF uses holistic with 50% being based on academics and 50% based on nonacademics. With academics, GPA is most important, as is class rigor (and the application essay). Standardized test scores are important, but not as important as GPA/Rigor.
Your GPA and test scores look fine. I’m assuming you’re taking a rigorous course load (honor, AP, DE, IB or AICE classes), if so rigor should be fine.
Your nonacademic items also look fine.
So UF’s a match. However, holistic admissions can seem a bit random at times, it wouldn’t hurt to re-take your SAT and try for a higher score (UF does superscore the test). Also, keep up on your EC’s this summer and next fall.
Good Luck!
I am currently in duel enrollment, will this be considered helpful for my application or will it hurt me?
I think that you are a match for University of Florida, based on your given statistics, you should be fine!! Good luck!!
I’d say that UF is a match for you! I think that the duel enrollment will definitely be considered helpful. I can’t see why it wouldn’t!! I also think that DE will help bring your GPA up. Good luck!
