<p>I interpret that as a 2.8 for your current classes. If they meant cumulative, they would have said it. </p>
<p>Why would UC care about your cumulative GPA? They’ve already seen that, they just want to make sure that you don’t slack off you last semester.</p>
<p>Now if it said “transferable (COMMA) in progress or planned courses with a GPA of 2.8 or higher” it would be a different story</p>
<p>I would also like for you to post what admissions office tells you at 10 tomorrow. I’m in the same situation as you with current grades of A, B, C, C. Thanks and I will be calling as well.</p>
<p>After thinking about it, it logically should be overall. You could be a 4.0 student then get an A, B, and C in a higher unit worth course which would make your spring semester GPA under 2.8. Would it make sense for them to accept somebody who got all Bs on average over this scenario?</p>
