THIS IS WHAT UC DAVIS SAID WHEN I SENT THEM MY SENIOR GRADES INFO:
As you know, our admission decision was based in part on your academic
performance. During our review of your course work, we looked at the
rigor
of your courses from 9th- 11th grade. We also reviewed your work in
progress for the 12th grade, expecting the same performance and rigor
of
your previous three years. Please send us a letter, fax (530-752-1280)
or
email with an explanation of why your grade point average has declined
for
the 12th grade. All letters must be received by April 15, 2005. We
will
respond to you in writing prior to the SIR deadline.

Now will my admission be revoked? I hope not and what can I write in my letter to UC Davis, I was just plain lazy and I now regreat that.

Just describe the circumstances the best you can. A friend of mine Failed AP Bio last year and wrote a letter of appeal and kept her acceptance after making up the class.

Cs will not get ur admission revoked especially to a college as UNC-Davis..

Ds and Fs can...

You have something around 2.5 which isnt so good.. but it isnt bad enough for you to get revoked..
Just finish up your senior year well and you're fine..

Those are what im anticipating, it is fairly accurate b/c those B are low B's and the C's and mid C's so i dont expect to raise them or drop them. Also I sent them an Email with my senior grades, they did not request them.

I was worried about my grades, cause when I read their contract it said

"Complete all courses on your admission application for the 12th grade, unless otherwise approved by our admissions office, with grades of "C" or better. Grades in your senior year must not show a marked decline from previous work."

The must not show marked decline kinda applied to me.

I thought the requirement at davis was to keep a 3.0 weighted gpa. If i were you i would write a very good essay and keep those 2nd semester grades up.

I called them and they said there is no minimun GPA that needs to be maintanied, it is based on your previous record or something. The contract did not mention a 3.00 weighted anywhere.

see thats the problem I really dont have a reason as to why my grades declined exceptt that I was lazy and stuff, you know senioritis, so what do I write about?

My senior grades have slipped a little too. I would blame my slip on 1. tougher classes, 2. i got a job, 3. senioritis, 4. im trying to have fun this last year. Before i would put school before almost everything else but now if there's a party or a kickback ill go to it...even on a school night =]
