Hi! I applied as a junior transfer to numerous schools, some being Ivies. I'm curious if my mediocre high school performance will hinder my success in admissions...if my grades will take me out of the running? Thanks!

My UW GPA in high school was around a 3.4. I did not have a very rigorous schedule.
I took a gap year before my freshman year. I'm currently a sophomore at a liberal arts college with a 4.0 GPA...I have taken quite a few upper-level classes.

Each college/university posts right on its website the requirements for admission. Some won’t want your HS transcript at all. Some will want a copy of your transcript only as proof that you did graduate from high school. Others will indeed look at the courses that you took, and the grades in those courses. In order to know how each institution uses that information, you would have to ask.

But, a 4.0 for two years of college-level work should be good enough to transfer just about anywhere. Stop worrying about this.
