Will UCSD get rid of the TAG for budget???

<p>well, I have asked my counselor about the TAG days ago.
she told me that she is not sure if ucsd will get rid of the SPRING tag or not, and she also told me that UCD has canceled the spring TAG or something like that i forgot.
therefore, im worrying about if UCSD will do it.on the one hand, i just graduated from high school, when i transfer, it will be 2 years later,which is a long time. on the other hand my goal is now to get 3.0 gpa or a little bit higher like 3.2~3.4. if my GPA is strictly 3.0 in the end ,and ucsd cuts off the TAG, will i still have chance to get into ucsd in 2 years?</p>

<p>btw, is it possible to do the TAG in July 2011 when i complete the IGETC 2 YEARS LATER??</p>

<p>I have a simple answer for you… Try to get a GPA higher than 3.4, and make yourself a competitive applicant, not just an applicant who tried to achieve the minimum.</p>

<p>The post above me is 100% correct. It’s quite simple. If you want guaranteed admission to the UC’s, be better than everyone else.</p>
