<p>I went to this last year with my daughter. I think she wore nice jeans and a loose, flowy type tank top. It was really warm that day. </p>
<p>I think you are a guy. If I were going with my son, I think I would recommend he wear a nice pair of jeans and a button down or a V neck sweater. He wouldn’t tuck in the button down and I wouldn’t mind. He doesn’t wear polos, but that would be fine too. I’d probably ask him not to wear a T shirt, although a nice solid color one would probably be OK. </p>
<p>And by nice jeans, I mean not torn, faded, or old looking.</p>
<p>I don’t remember, but parents did not sit with their children at the dinner. There were tables designated for students, and ones designated for parents. At each table there was a person or two from Colby, I guess mostly professors.</p>
<p>I don’t think you’ll feel awkward. The only potential time for awkwardness is the reception at the President’s house. Are they having that? But it’s kind of awkward for everyone, trying to make small talk. Just look around for some people who look like people you’d like to talk to.</p>
