Marlboro College.

Purdue always brings me to perdue en francais

Columbia (the one in Chicago)

Colgate. Do you know how many people like the school but choose not to apply because of the name? Additionally, it’s stigmatized, imagine how people would react to you saying “Yeah, I went to Colgate.”. People really care about that…

^Well I’m sure those people must be vastly intelligent.

I didn’t want to go to a school named after a Robber Baron.

Bob Jones University. BJ University.

Jesus College and Dale Bumpers College

Eckerd. Granted, it’s owned by the pharmacy, but still…

Defiance College - not very defiant I am sure because it’s a conservative religious college but the name cracks me up. Not the college name, but USC’s mascot - the Trojan - I find funny, although I love USC’s name.

Bowling Green State

college of wooster

brown, rice, walla-walla university

Ball State University…yeah.

Miami University in Ohio…-.-

You’ve got the USC Trojans on the West Coast and the USC ***** on the East Coast. That’s always amused me.

^ hey i thought you wanted to go to American University! what happened? :/

^Money. Perhaps I’ll transfer… but at the moment, I’m super stoked to be going to USC. XD I won’t be having any loans for freshman year, whereas at AU, I would have had $10-30k in loans, even if they gave me a decent package and I got in. I ended up not even applying. haha.

But it’s okay, because I decided that I could be happy at home at my state school… and it gave me the opportunity to pursue a major I actually want (Theatre), I probably wouldn’t be able to get into the theatre program at AU… so I think it worked better for me… at least for right now. We’ll see how things go this year.

As an aside… I don’t think I’m quite prepared to handle the political climate of AU. I really want to get away from politics and AU would totally not do that for me with it being the number one politically active campus in the nation and all… haha

Oral roberts university.

also, in england, I came across a school named Goodenough college

Don’t know if this is necessarily bad, but I find it amusing.

The oldest operating university in the world… The University of Bologna.
