<p>The "Worst College names" post inspired me to think of the ugliest names for people :)</p>

<p>If you were thinking of naming your kids these names, let this be a warning! If you have one of these names, please don't get mad, this is meant to be light-hearted and funny and lots of people think my name is plain or ugly and they may think yours is pretty :)</p>

<p>Worst Female names: Gertrude, Ethel, Mildred, Francine, Doris, Agnes, Jennifer, Janice
Worst Male names: Bart (sounds like fart), Albert, Alfred, Arthur, Chuck (Charles is fine), Ernie, Gaylord (ahahah), Herbert....</p>

male: gil, bert, gilbert, gilberto</p>

<p>You have a problem with the name Jennifer? Never thought it sounded weird or anything.</p>

<p>Male: Eugene, Trevor, Gordon, Dick (go by richard or rich), Rick, Tucker, Kurt, Carl.
Female: Holly, Tina, Sabrina, Catherine (but derivatives of this are ok), Angela, Wendy, Madison, Carol, and… Prudence.</p>

<p>wow i personally like catherine (but spelled katherine or kathryn, I like “k” names), angela, and wendy. </p>

<p>female: Hilda, Bertha, Uma, Georgiana/Georgina, Henrietta, Simone, Betty, Maude
male: Simon, Norbert, Algie (lab partner’s name is algie!), Burt</p>

<p>I did have a hamster named Norbert, but this is only fine for pets.

<p>Hermione. Ginny. etc.
There are honestly kids out there that are named after Harry Potter characters!
(I just met a 7-year-old Hermione. Poor kid.)</p>

<p>(Still waiting for a Severus :slight_smile: or a Nymphadora (sp?))</p>

<p>^I agree with most of those, except for Sabrina, Holly and Simone. I like those names.</p>

<p>I definitely don’t like Gordon, though (the name of the current British PM :P)</p>

Male: Clinton, Phillip, Patrick, Hank, Kahn, Gilliam, Dale.</p>

<p>Eugene, Trevor, Richard, Chad, Tad (there was a kid named Tad in my high school, ***), Gertrude, Ruth, Prudence, Ethel, Wendy, Ester, Patricia, Sandy, Guy, and Taylor.</p>

<p>Ursula reminds me of a villain—I guess courtesy of Disney. I can’t imagine a nice Ursula walking around, lol.</p>

<p>And Nikki reminds me of a teenager. I couldn’t imagine a 50-year old woman named Nikki.</p>

<p>My mother’s nickname for me used to be “Erving.”
She jokes that she almost named me that. I think that’s a horrible name.</p>

<p>For guys I hate the name Maurice.</p>

<p>For girls: Juwana has to be the worst. I actually saw a girl named Juwana Ho working at our local McDonalds.</p>
