Remember that the combined CR+M scores have risen 196 points since 2006 so someone admitted 9 years ago may not be admitted today.
^^^^ Exactly. I don’t think Naviance is particularly useful for this school. It’s really hard to get in now!
I’ve never thought that I could "get in anywhere’’ but at my fairly small school a 32 is seen as almost unreachable :-S so that’s everyones response to hearing my score. My weighted gpa is a 4.6667 out of 4, I’ve taken all of the AP courses that are available at my high school. I forgot that me being african american helps my chances, that makes me feel a little better. Also, my parents are able to contribute 30,000 a year for my education, plus I am eligible for 10,000 and year from raise . me, so its not like I am too dependent on scholarships.
I hope you guys are right about me having a good chance, I think my common app essay was pretty nicely written and Ive emailed the admissions office asking about any minority organizations they have (I am genuinely interested in this).
There’s not really any other schools in the area that I am interested in. I love Northeastern more for its academic scene and co-op than its location (although Boston does seem spectacular).
I’ll take the advice and wait to visit until after Dec 31st, IF I’m accepted of course.
@Martinac Yes, that’s true, there are many areas where a 32 is seen as unreachable, and so that’s a top score for where you are coming from! You are probably one of the strongest applicants they will see from your area. You have everything going for you! Good luck!
@marrtinac You should be proud of your achievements and feel great about your application. Congrats, I think you will have great choices in December!
Thank you everyone for your help!! And also good luck to any of you who are also applying this year. I hope I will see some of you in Boston next year.
