I think in the future, minor tweaks to the nose or lips won't be seen as a big deal at all and botox injections will become fairly common for anyone over 40.

I personally wouldn't, even though I hate my nose. but it would feel too weird having someone physically change it...like having someone else's nose.

I would never get plastic surgery. I am happy with the way I look. I don’t think my face needs to be altered at all, and any body issues I may have in the future can be fixed with a healthy diet and a lot of hard work at the gym.

Depends on the type of plastic surgery. I wouldn’t change the way I look as far as nose size/shape, lip size/shape, all that stuff. I want to look like me.

I would, however, get surgery to remove excess weight, skin, wrinkles, etc. I don’t want to LOOK like I’ve had surgery, though.

if you’re getting surgery to remove excess weight, skin, wrinkles, etc., you’re not going to “look like you.” you’re going to look like a smoother or thinner version of you, much the same way getting a nose job would make you look like a smaller-nosed version of you.

and no, i would never get plastic surgery, barring serious disfiguring accidents that require facial/bodily reconstruction. there are other, less invasive, and much more subtle ways for me to alter and be comfortable with my body.

Yep. I have, it was a great thing for me, and I’d do it all over again. As long as you don’t get addicted or obsessive, correcting every little imperfection it can be really helpful to a person’s sense of comfort or confidence (such as in the case of a very obvious, easily fixed flaw). Personally, I don’t think I’d ever get injections or implants anywhere just because it would be strange to have foreign material in your body.
In my case, I got breast reduction surgery the summer after senior year, and I’m very glad I did it. Beforehand, I was quite our of proportion, wasn’t able to buy any decent clothes, and experienced physical discomfort and constrained movement. I feel so much better now, and I’m 100% confident that surgery was the best choice for me.

i wouldn’t. then again i wouldn’t get a tattoo or a piercing. but that’s a different story i suppose. i’m fine with how i look. i don’t have any physical deformities and for that i’m grateful.

to me there’s something terribly wrong with some of the people who get the surgery done without actually looking bad how they were prior to the surgery. i mean some people are maybe better off getting it in some situations, but generally it seems pretty unnecessary. i there’s a lot of people in hollywood who have no need for them and get them anyways and as a result look absolutely horrible and disfigured afterward. i feel sorry for them in a way, but maybe they are happy like that? i don’t think i could ever work alongside to someone like some of those people who look like monstrosities because of cosmetic surgery. it would just freak me the hell out.

Yes I’d get surgery to alter something about my body or face. I do not see it as a negative thing even if you are changing something you dislike on a whim. If you can afford it and suffer the potential consequences then why not?

I want to get my face done because there is access skin that I do not want (I’m thin everywhere but my face) and my breasts done (to a 34G because of my career).

I know for a fact that I’d get botox injections once my skin starts to crease.

34G!!! whoa kind of career are you in? haha I’m a 34A and my ideal would be B cup (anything larger would look out of proportion and silly on me imo).

The one thing I dislike about my face is my nose, it’s a little too wide, but it looks thinner depending on lighting in pics. so i wouldn’t waste money getting it done.

i don’t think there’s anything wrong with surgery, if you can afford it, why not? it used to be wearing any makeup made you a “harlot”, same thing later with women who wore pants or shorts. I think a nip and tuck here and there won’t be a big deal 100 years from now. at 18 it’s easy to say i’ll never get botox, but i might change my mind at 50.

Nude modeling (sort of softcore porn) and dancing part time. I’m naturally a 34D so two cup sizes (which is usually standard for breast implants) would take me to a 34G. I’m still contemplating getting the surgery because my breasts look fine right now.

I use to have a negative view on plastic surgery until I really looked into it. I’d be scared to get surgery on my face but I’m seriously considering Buccal Fat Removal. I’m only 20 so it’s not recommended : (

Especially no to the ladies who get lip injections. It always looks obvious. There has never been a case where lip injections look natural. Women are playing themselves when they do that. Botox + Lip Injection = Jack Nicholson’s Joker Face all the time.

I’d say plastic surgery is okay for people who have a drastic and obvious facial feature that draws attention to itself.

For instance, I have seen people with truly humongous noses that distracts your eyes when you talk to them face-to-face. However, regular botox injections are truly disgusting, and I whole heartedly agree with the above poster, lip injections look out of proportion and are disturbing 99.9% of the time.

I have a pretty large nose, with a bump in the center, so it looks fine straight on, but is noticeable from the side view, it really isn’t all that bad, not nearly as bad as the ones I’ve described, but it still bugs me. I probably would not get surgery, though.

If I gained like 200 pounds and then lost all of it & had lots of loose skin everywhere, I’d probably get a tummy tuck, etc. Or if I got pregnant with 6 babies like Kate Gosselin and all my skin stretched out (side note: did anyone else hear that Jon & Kate might be getting divorced?? sad!).

Right now I’m pretty happy with the way I look, but who knows what I’ll want years and years from now?

Also I think breast reduction can be totally necessary for some people to lead easier lives.

I have had plastic surgery. I lost around 60-65 pounds and had some extra skin which I would have never been able to get rid of without the aid of surgery. So I had surgery. It was, especially at my age, embarrassing, and it greatly affected my confidence, even though I lost so much weight on my own. I’m glad I did it.

I would never have face surgery. I might consider other things as I’m older, but I doubt I’d do them. Most things I could fix myself (not being that toned) or I just don’t care enough about to alter (breast size).

I thought I wouldn’t, but if somebody paid for it and the doctor does good work… probably yes. I dont wanna go through life hating one part of my body… sigh.

If I did anything, it would either be the nose or the eyes. Eh though, I’m pretty broke right now so it won’t happen Alot of asian girls get those surgeries so its not really that big of a deal, my 2 friends already got stuff tweaked haha.

Though I’m pretty afraid of the knife so probably not. oh wellz
