Writing about religion in supplement?

for the question asking you to describe an important and shaping community, would it be too controversial to write about being secretly agnostic attending a private christian school and growing up in a strongly catholic family?

No, I wouldn’t describe that as too controversial. Although it seems the reverse of what the question is asking.

What prompt is that? I have not heard a prompt ‘asking you to describe an important and shaping community’ That doesn’t hardly make any sense. Do you have the prompt right? Are you understanding it?

There isn’t any prompt like that on the Common Application.

edit to say: oops, forgot I was in the Brown forum. I haven’t seen the supplement question. What fireandrain said.

Taking about religious belief, or disbelief as may be the case, isn’t controversial. Just handle it in an intelligent way.
