Hooray, I'm so glad people replied! I had this image of all of you guys not posting anymore and me being the last one to post and getting no replies. lol.

CMD220--I hate history too! My school curriculum requires 2 years of math, 2 of science, and so on, except for THREE years of history and four years of English. I like English so I don't mind that, but it really irks me the way that they want 3 years, instead of 2 years like for everything else...are they trying to say it's more important?? aug.

I guess my fav classes include science (whatever science I take that year, so chem and AP Phys this year) English, my language classes and math class, even though my teacher's really boring.

yay for another HP fan! I was going to ask that question directly, but decided against it. Actually, I haven't read the davinci code (it looks boring!) but yes, I do love Harry Potter and the movies. But I like reading in general, so I do read lots of other books. :)

I like history! Well, only starting this year, just because my class is awesome...I really got into the whole social science thing this year. Actually, I mostly like all of my classes...no real "favorite" though.

I guess I'm the third HP fan here. I also like chick lits, though I never have time to read them anymore. And, recently, books that are a kind of social commentary-type...

CMD220: I'm glad you're coming this summer! (I used to think your username stood for something like..computer magnet database or something really technical...silly me. I'm assuming they're your initials now.)

yea those are my initials, i got very creative with my username. haha computer magnet database...

So I finally started to fill out all those forms today. At first I was thinking about what to write then I realized that I'm already accepted so I don't have to, like, try to impress them anymore lol.

btw- my sn's derosaster if anyone would like to talk on aim

Yeah, "computer magnet database"...I had that going on too...I sat there thinking of incredibly insightful things to say about what I want to learn/experience until I realized I don't have to....And now that the AP Calc test is over (YEEEEPEEEE!), I can relax and actually think of how summer's coming up and I am DONE with Taylor Series. :)

I think it's the combination of numbers and consonants that make her login name look so technical, lol, since Annie88 has numbers, but her username is less puzzling. :P

Do you guys have any idea how hard this program will be?? Like, do you think we'll all get really stressed while we're there and stuff?

I don't know but I hope it will be challenging. Not like ridiculously hard but interesting. It cannot possibly be as bad as, say, studying for the AP US history test (thats tomorrow btw and its gonna suckkkk). I don't know how much I like the sound of homework but it will be math stuff so it can't be that bad. Just no essays. No writing. please.

As long as I have my TI-83 Plus everything will be ok... =D

Wait- we're not even being graded, theres absolutely nothing to stress over!

^ lol, I was thinking almost the EXACT same thing. Except it was a few hours earlier, and I didn't post it. Although in my mind, my imaginary message would have ended with a smiley face. Or some cute confused thing.

I odn't know how to do cute confused things...and I wasn't in the happiest of moods, lol (freaking out about 2 APs tomorrow, self-studies). Hmm...the only ones I know how to do are :D :p :) :(

Yes, yes, I'll stop wasting my time and go to bed. :p

hey everyone- I'm Kristen. I just thought I'd post to introduce myself since I'll be going to WTP this summer.

CMD posted a bunch of interests...so here are mine:
soccer
basketball
softball
SLEEPING
waterskiing
TV: Lost and 24

ummmmm thats all I can think of...haha, aren't I exciting?

Anyhow...I'll probably be one of those people waking up to run along the Charles River in the morning...anyone else up to that? I have soccer preseason in the fall, so I need to stay in shape.

CMD, how'd AP US History go for you? I took it too and the DBQ killed me because unfortunately my class never went over the women's movement...

kristen-- im definitely up for running every morning! I have soccer preseason too, and I was thinking about bringing free weights or something since we cant use the MIT facilities.

I love 24 too, and House, and waterskiing. Well I only get to go waterskiing once a year but its similar to downhill.

AP US?? oh geez... um multiple choice idk how i did i had been getting high 40s-low 50s in class but who knows how i did, DBQ wasnt so bad i think i had some good outside info about lowell textile mills and seneca falls, the free response killed me though- i did the one about reconstruction and completely forgot about freedmans bureau then made up stuff about grantism and "era of good stealing " for economic. then the 50s one i think i did alright one i mentioned elvis and rock and roll and brown v. board and such although it wasnt as comprehensive as it should have been... im just glad this course is DONE.

You weird, weird, weird people....running....for fun. Crazies. :p (I'm kidding - I don't mind running, but not cross-country type. If it's for a point such as to play tennis or soccer or basketball or something, I'm fine with it).

Haha, Annie I definately never run for "fun" :-P and I most definately agree that cross country people are crazy... some of my good friends run cross country in the fall

And for me on AP US, the women's essay was a mess, I definately used the documents too much because I had almost no outside info... (I only was able to come up with Abagail Adams and Lowell Mills) But I agree, I'm glad its done. Though at my school, they make us write a 10 page paper after the AP...so I guess I'm not really done yet. Its better in my chemistry class- since the AP is over, in class we're going to watch Myth Busters and get CPR & First-Aid certified :-P

Free weights is a good idea, though I have to admit the only weight training I've ever done was through softball, and that was very shortlived...and it was mainly for shoulder strength and quad work (lunges with weights...uggg)

Hmmm...hey, I have a random question, and I think someone sort of addressed it earlier in this board, but, do we have weekends off? Or is it just Sunday? Or do we have some form of classes every day?

Last year we got weekends off. :) And roamed Boston, it was awesome. They field trips/beach days/museum stuff on the weekends, but nothing was mandatory.

Love summer :) And my senior year summer, I'm... working (go figure, I'm paying $25,000 for college next year) and going to the beach. :) No school, at all. It's going to be awesome.
