lol im an intl student. our finals are usually feb-mar. it sucks but may finals would be unbearable because of the heat.

The wait will be even longer for DS (and me). He will be out with a friend on Friday, and not home until late Friday night. I am out of town for the wknd and told him to CALL ME if there was an acceptance from WashU on Friday - no matter the time!

quick question⊠what does DS mean??

Dear Son :)

Good luck to all!

Lolz I always thought it meant daughters son or dangerous son :p

Seriously do NOOOOT get your hopes up that it will be this Friday. I applied ED, and we all thought we were going to hear back on Friday 12/7, and we were all devasated and annoyed and sad when we didnât hear until the following Tuesday. Every other year they had sent out the decisions on a Friday and ours was TuesdayâŠso who knows it could be the same sort of situation for RD too. Plus the applicant pool is much larger and I donât think they could get through 30,000 applications that quickly.

The good thing about not receiving any scholarships is that my son already knows he canât go even if he does get in. It makes waiting for decisions much less stressful, lol! Fortunately he has a good alternative so is not upset. Good luck to everyone here!

Any idea when they will notify us when they will release admission decisions? As in how many days beforehand?

Maybe tomorrow if they are really releasing them Friday.

No, they never send out emails telling you when decisions will be posted, only that they have already been posted. If I remember correctly, I didnât realize the decisions had been posted until possibly a day or two later when I received an email. But you all on CC know theyâre coming out soon so youâll be checking frantically and the email will come after you already know if youâre in or not.

Is it too late to rescind my applicationâŠ? I canât go without a scholarship and I have absolutely no desire to (I got into a school that I personally ranked higher than WUSTL).

Meh. Oh well. Weâll see how it goes. Itâll either be an ego booster or a pointless email.

Does anyone have any grounds for WUSTLâs decision day of March 8th? It says âpredictedâ but I couldnât find the sources

do you know if its too late to send in an update? a lot of really big things have happened over the past 2 weeks that i think could be helpful to my app?
and are we sure about this friday?

@watson221 well you can only know if you try, so go ahead and send updates ASAP and see what happens

The predicted March 8 date is only a guess based on the release dates the last 3 years, which have been 3 weeks before the Ivies. I donât think anyone has seen any concrete evidence about March 8.

Does anyone know how much demonstrated interest / not needing Financial Aid factors in to the admissions decision?

When did WUSTL release their decisions last year?

Demonstrated interest is huge at Wash u. Since a lot of their applicants apply at ivy leagues, Wash u. knows that many will opt for an ivy league over wash u. Thatâs why Wash uâs yield is lower than 30%. So, demonstrated interest is really important. I think Wash u is not need-blind, so the fact that you donât aid may help very slightly.

can washu please not tell us this weekâŠ? I dont wanna ruin my weekend because it will probably be a rejectionâŠ

@injustice- I think that decisions last year were released on March 9
