Xbox to college dorm?

My distant cousin and I are going to Rutgers University this September and we are planning to be roommates.
We, unfortunately, are heavy video gamers and really want to bring our playstation to our room. Here are our questions to those who know well about dorm rules.

  1. Do all Rutgers dorms (we really want to go to B.E.S.T or College Avenue) permit students to bring their video games to their rooms? We will purchase 24" or 28" TV if we are permitted to do so.
  2. Can an engineering student be a roommate with a pharmacy or SAS student? Someone told me that students cannot be roommates with each other if their majors are radically different.

  2. You can room with anyone you want as long as you are both eligible for the particular dorm. For example, only engineering majors can live in Barr Hall, so in that case you wouldn't be able to live together. But any of the other dorms which aren't special major-specific communities you can live with people of any major.
