Soooo is Yale you all’s first choice? ;)

YES! definitely!

@kim7564, yeah, don’t worry at all if you haven’t been offered for an interview yet; from everything I’ve heard, whether or not you get an interview is no indication of your final admission result. The simple facts are that 1) there are too many applicants to interview every single one, so some people are bound not to get interviews and 2) interviewers are busy people, too, and some probably simply get around to contacting applicants earlier than others.

yale is definitely in my top 2 choices :)

yeah i haven’t gotten an interview but no one has yet from my school so it’s okay i guess.

Saaammee.
10 char

Yale is definitely my top choice!

Anybody know if the RD will be tougher this year? Probably right? lol

kendrickgirl - crossed fingers that the lgbtq scene is great! i’ve heard the gay scene is great but the lesbian one is more underground.

Absolutely top choice. Was deferred SCEA but keeping fingers crossed. Brown is my number 2.

I don’t have a top choice. I don’t want to fall in love with a school and set myself up for disappointment. Instead, I have a group of schools that I would love to attend. Yale is among them.

@leadbyeexample yeah i know. gosh i heard there are 7-10 really active lesbians and they’ve all been with each others. haha. yay gender studies majors?
@runnerxc yeah i haven’t fallen in love with any school either. feel like that would be too commital especially since decisions haven’t come out. o.o

@runner “I don’t have a top choice. I don’t want to fall in love with a school and set myself up for disappointment. Instead, I have a group of schools that I would love to attend. Yale is among them.”

Well said and exactly how I’m going in to the process. I had four reaches, two semi-fits (more like reaches, but not as major as the first four), and two safeties. Got into the safeties, and though I’d prefer it to be one of the “Big Six” as I’ve been calling the four reaches and two reach-matches, I’m keeping an open mind and will do serious evaluation when I get all of my results. Who knows, I may get into a few Big Sixes but decide that one of my safeties is better.

All 5 schools I’ve applied to (with the exception of my safety), I’d love to go to. And since I’m going into pre-med, the prestige of the school doesn’t even matter, so I’ll be happy either way.

:D

Should I be worried if I haven’t received any online log-in info yet?

I would fight a Polar Bear to the death for a chance to go to Yale.

Though I’d rather write an essay about it, instead.

They are literally processing thousands of pieces of paper and electronic files right now. The website advises that you’ll receive it… I wanna say in three weeks or so? Haven’t glanced on there in a while.

Yale was actually an afterthought for me, but the more I read about it, the more perfect it sounds. Sadly, I made five honking mistakes in my application. I’ve emailed to correct two of them, but I don’t want to be that girl who inundates the office with tons of extra stuff, so I’m just going to relax with a rejection…

@Philovitist Hahaha I basically told my cousin the same thing: if someone sentenced me to hard labor for an undetermined amount of time i would leap enthusiastically at the opportunity if it were my ticket to acceptance

also, does every applicant get an alum interview or just some?

@lilatov: Just some. And it’s not a big deal if you don’t get one.

@stupiddorkyidiot
I think you shouldn’t feel like you’re bothering the admissions office.
I mean, it is their job and you did pay the application fee, so they should help you out to the best of their abilities!
