^Yeah. After I submitted the commonapp once I can no longer edit it.

Create an alternate version of the application. Instructions should be available on the Common App website.

You can create many different copies of the app. I have 3.

hey people. How are you guys handling the stress? :o

Since we don’t have a deferred thread, I’ll just ask this question here: what are you guys doing, if anything, to strengthen your application for the RD round after being deferred SCEA? I’m submitting a short list of the honor bands I made this year and Science Olympiad medals I’ve earned. I’m also considering retaking one or two subject tests in January, is that a good idea? I made a 710 on Math 2 and a (gasp) 590 on the Lit, and I figure it could help. It’s been over a year since that abysmal Lit test, and now that I’m actually in a Literature class, I think I could do much better, same for math.

Just submitted my supplement/fee. All that’s left is the commonapp. Good luck everyone. :)

JordanSaidWhat I would definitely take more SAT IIs, the 710 is low and the 590 is abysmal (no offense).

JordanSaidWhat: Yeah, definitely try do better on the SAT II tests.

What disappoints me about Yale is that there isn’t score choice for the subject tests.

I took the Bio M test after freshman year just for fun without even knowing what score choice was… and I got a 710. A couple of years later (when I was much more mature) I was able to score two 800s. And I would have liked to only send the 800s but I had to follow the policy. Ah well, a 710 won’t be the reason I get rejected.

Non taken. I was foolish for taking it without studying as a junior and hoping for a good score. I have improved greatly and can definitely score way higher this time.

Wait for yale you have to send every ACT/SAT2 score?

ram0276: From Yale’s website: “If you want us to have any scores from both the College Board and ACT, Inc., you must report all scores from both testing agencies.”

So if you send ANY SAT scores, you must send ALL your SAT I and II scores.

If you send ANY ACT scores, you must send ALL ACT scores.

Wth man…that is so annoying. Also, how would they know if I didnt send every score?

If you reported it on the Common App and didn’t officially send it to Yale, then they’d know.

Besides that, it’s ethics. You should go ahead and send any other scores in now. It likely won’t make a difference if you already have good scores.

I reported my ACT superscore on common app (36). I originally had a 31.

Well under Yale’s policy you’re required to send the 31 in, too.

Have you guys gotten Eli accounts yet?

runnerxc is right.

JordanSaidWhat, I’m planning to submit an additional writing sample and a simple update letter with some extra honors/extra explanation for some activities.

No Eli account yet, but I only applied two weeks ago. Hopefully it’ll come soon, because I want to have it for when I call and correct my Social Security number… whoops!

Haha nice baddriver!

Oh, and if your school reports ACT scores on your transcript (which many schools do, including mine), then they’ll notice. And it won’t be good.

applied today. whew. now to get 4 more apps done before school starts back up :/
