So does anyone know the timeline for non stem likely letters?

Have all Yale likely been identified ?

@bigwords and @quantum: who knows? I’ll bet people in New Haven don’t even know. Seriously, people spend way too much time on this Likely Letter thing. It’s straw grasping in extremis. If it comes, fantastic: golden ticket. If not, no harm no foul. Please go enjoy your last semester in HS. Don’t waste time pining for a likely letter.

Just got my YES-W likely letter today! I think they are still sending them out this week, so don’t lose hope! :)

anybody that applied for physics get one?

I got a Yale “likely” call yesterday. In addition, I was invited to be flown over for the YES-W.

One of my friends who is a physics student has been invited for YES-W

Also, just for clarification, I received my likely letter phone call yesterday, not the actual likely letter. I think that they are still calling people this week, so don’t lose hope! All of you are amazing students :)

Is environmental studies considered a STEM major, or one somewhat recruited by Yale?

^^ Yes environmental studies is a STEM major, as I got my likely letter phone call yesterday with the same major :)

is the period for sending likely letters for yale over?
Congrats to all those who got it.

theoretically, no. They are allowed to send them out as late as Mar 15. But whether or not they will is unknown. Frankly, no one should be pining away for one of these – they are rare as hen’s teeth.

In terms of getting a likely letter for STEM, yes, the period is probably over. I remember last year they asked us to book our flights/firm up our plans by February 4ish, which would correspond to the third this year. I think they send out some non-STEM, non-YES Weekend letters though, but not very many…

I am in the Yale group on Facebook, and some members have reported receiving likely letters as late as yesterday, although Bulldog is right - it’s probably too late for STEM likely letters for YES-W, since it’s going to be barely a week from now…
