Yale University SAT Scores!

Hi! So I got a 2140 on my SATs (740 CR, 760 W, 640 M). I would take it again, but I wont have time to take another subject test (which I need to do) AND the SAT before the Early Decision deadline. I know my math score is incredibly low, but I was wondering if my math grades (I got a B+ in 10th grade and an A- in 11th, the year I took the SAT) and math II SAT score (which I anticipate will be strong) will compensate for this low score. Thanks.

Honestly, a B+ and an A- in math are not stellar grades. I’m skeptical how high your math II score will be considering your low SAT score. If I were you, I would hold off on early decision and take the SAT again, along with the SAT II. Just focus on the math section. Yale asks for all SAT scores, so they’ll see the 640 no matter what, but bringing that score up will make you look a lot better as a candidate.

Thanks for the reply! ALSO, my school doesn’t offer A+ grades, so would that make my existing grades okay?@Ranza123‌

Your grades are already okay. They’re great for most schools. But to Yale, they aren’t that amazing.
