Yale's consideration of grades

Hello, sorry to waste thread space asking this- but I can't find it anywhere on their university's webpage.

Does Yale take into consideration Freshmen year of High School?
If no- do any Ivies take into consideration Freshmen year of High School?
When I say that- I mean do they recalculate your GPA without it? I know UC's do, but does Yale/the other seven ivies?

Yes, it does.

Princeton and Stanford (I know, not an Ivy, but it's up there) do not consider freshman grades as much as other grades. I don't know specifically how Stanford works, but I know Princeton recalculates GPA's and they don't include your freshman year, though they'll still see them since they're on your transcript. The other Ivies do consider them, but I don't know whether each one recalculates GPA's.

Alright, so all ivies except Princeton look at Freshmen Year?

What usually is the standard protocol that Princeton uses to recalculate your grades theoneo??

They won't say. But they only use sophomore and junior year grades.

that's good. Beginnings are always harder. For some reason, my high school wants us to get B's or less in the first year. They try to make it in their schedule. You have to be there to get it, but they're tougher than they should be. Sophomore seems much easier though. They're trying to give us A's.
