<p>they clearly do not have time for that. they're crazyy swamped. I don't think that we have to worry lol.</p>
<p>how long do u guys think the admissions dept spends on 1 application? my guess is 40 mins...</p>
<p>From what I understood at the openhouse they pass around your application amoung the admissions counselors and each of them take a vote whether they believe your a good candidate.</p>
<p>wow....so many people judging everything i did in high school...thats scary</p>
<p>I would pay a decent amount of money to be in the room while they review my application.</p>
<p>I would really like to see how the admissions process actually works if I do get in (anywhere) I wonder if I could get a job at the admissions office and catch a glimpse of the behind the scences actions and conversations of the infamous admissions counselors.</p>
<p>it's pretty embarrassing how much time i waste on here</p>
<p>-you start to recognize different usernames check
-after checking the cornell status website (of course) CC is the first website you go to (that and maybe facebook) check
-you can associate a personality with a username (ie: who is a jerk and gives sarcastic responses and who is too much of an optimist) check
-you start quoting things like..."well i learned in this forum that----" check
-you get too preoccupied with this website when you should be doing school work check
-sometimes you feel like you have more of a connection with random users than your friends about college!
-you almost can't read another 'CHANCE ME' thread again check
-you predicted your sat score very closely because you searched through all of the sat forums trying to figure out how many right answers you put check x2
-you always look to see if other people, like yourself, have missing everything on the application status
-you wonder if you ever talked to someone from your school on cc without actually knowing it check
-you are very thankful that people out there are in the same boat as you are! check</p>
<p>yup im a loser</p>
<p>SO TRUE! I love it!
It will be so sad if some of you (including myself) won't get in.
I share your pain about the nervousness and the obcessive CC checking.</p>
<p>I blame applications and ED decisions coming out for my addiction to CC xD</p>
<p>CC is my home page. ....lol</p>
<p>I got addicted AFTER submitting common app to Cornell ED. Now I check CC as obsessively as I check my status account. Sad sad little girl.</p>
<p>When you're embarrassed b/c you quote cc so often</p>
<p>i feel like in the past month i have been on CC about 500x more than normal. i tihnk it is because my cornell app is in so there is NOTHING I CAN DO AND I FEEL SO HELPLESS.</p>
<p>CC keeps my sanity for me. i am such a dork and i cant talk to anyone else about how obsessed with the whole college process i am! ahhh</p>
<p>Instead of saying "I read on CC this this this..." you say: "Oh, my friend told me..."</p>
