Congrats to all with good news!

She majored in Business Management. She started out in Speech Pathology and didn’t change until Spring of her sophomore year. Thanks to her AP credits she was still able to graduate on time!

But I though business management degrees are a waste and nobody gets jobs. Stupid internet was wrong again.

Congrats peachtide.

Congratulations to your DD, Peachtide!

Look at UA’s main page ua.edu
just saying :)

^^^
I know that handsome dude!

Son met with his professor last week during our trip up to his grad school city to look for apartments. He had met this gentleman while attending a conference to present his research that he had been doing as part of his CBH project. Son will be doing research at the local VA hospital, an amazing facility, and the work is exactly what son has always wanted to do. He will be doing work that he’s been doing at Bama under CBH and beyond, and his research group is very excited to have someone with his skills working on their project. He also learned that he does have the option to get a thesis-based master’s if he so chooses, so he may go this path since he’s already got a project to work on. Many thanks to Dr. Sharpe, Dr. Shen and Ms. Jane for their encouragement and support along the way and providing him the opportunity to attend the conference at his future grad school while at Bama, where he made this wonderful connection that will help him reach his goals of working with injured veterans.

Congrats and best wishes for Montegut’s son!

So happy for your son, Montegut! I’m glad things have worked out for him; all the best!

Congratulations to your son, Montegut!! Super news!!

When considering colleges DS wanted to be sure that big 4 accounting firms recruit at Bama. They do! DS landed his dream internship with a big 4 in New York City this spring. This Auburn grad parent is grateful for all that 'Bama has to offer. High school son spent Summer 1 with the UA Early College and the experience was phenomenal in more ways than I can say! Thanks 'Bama but always War Eagle!

Congrats to your son! And best wishes!

Son had a great meeting with a biomedical engineering company up in Minnesota that is doing work that he has always been interested in. They were very impressed with the fact that son had actually designed similar items to what they do as part of his CubeSat class that he took as an engineering elective at Bama. This was a broad field class that was attended by all fields of engineering, as well as business and arts and sciences majors. When looking for electives and core fulfillments, don’t just look for an easy A that doesn’t require much time. Look for something that will actually teach you something and make you more well rounded, and who knows, it just may land you a job one day!

That sounds like a cool class, @Montegut. How’s your DS liking MN?

Great news, Montegut! Glad to hear about this wonderful prospect and it seems Bama Engineering prepared him well. Thanks also for the great advice about choosing electives!

@Montegut
Wonderful news about your son.

The University of Alabama keeps on surpassing our expectations…The Athletics Department held their Varsity Lettermen Ceremony last night. This is where coaches award student-athletes a letterman jacket to men and women in various sports and come to find out. they awarded my son, a letterman’s jacket too for his contribution to Alabama Basketball…ROLL TIDE!

Excellent news! RTR!!

My son, who is in his first year at UVA Law, received word the other day that he landed a prestigious Pro Bono internship for two weeks following the Christmas holidays. He was quite excited, as he hopes it leads to a very nice summer internship. He would like that summer internship to take him “home,” as in, a chance to work in the Birmingham area. ROLL TIDE!

Congrats
