im in the same dilemma as all of u, but its GCE Alevels in my case.. cant wait to call them up on 1st !!

let us know how it goes, i'd rather not call... tomorrow, i'll just register for whatever it lets me take

just spoke to the management advisor..
Even though i havnt gotten the advanced credits yet, im still in a 90credit program, thus i can register tomorrow as of 8 am...

Also confirmed all my courses ..which are mgcr 211, 271, 222, 293, math133
phew

just registered.. dunno how but it was open

so unfair! :( siiiiigh. everybody is registering but me!
oh well- congrats (i guess?) hehe

faculty of arts isn't open yet.. :(

I have no idea when they received my stuff..although it must've been recently because when I checked before it also said that I was never registered for something or whatever.
I'm wondering if you can register for courses that you don't have prereq's for because I need them to change my math credits! I hope it's open now..I'm going to go check.

if we choose our courses now...and decide to change them later...when is the last date on doing that? This is because I'm doing my alevels and my results haven't come out yet so I don't know which credits i'm getting for my B.Sc degree. Also, when signing up for courses, what's the point of a second major? Is it a backup?

MaxiJaz, the last date of changing courses is somehwere in september so i think you are safe. I might also change my courses after my alevel results which are xpected on 8 august.

and second majors are for programs situations like: you're in the BSc- majoring in Maths but you're also wildly interested in say, french... so you take a French Major Concentration or something.

it's only like minutes after 8 and already courses are full!! What the hey!

which one can't you get?

in my case, most of my courses with PRIME timings (morning) were already full :( i had to settle for evening timings which i hate!!

wow i was more of the opposite, i fled morning classes- what's wrong with evenings?

so I was just informed today that I've become a U1 student! ***...I haven't even arrived at McGill and all the crap that I had to get through is starting to really annoy me. Anyway, for all the other advanced standing students, are you planning to graduate in 4 years or 3 or 3.5? I think I'll still stick with my original plan and graduate in 4. Any advice?

yeah i'm in U1 now too. I'm thinking of just doing a double major now and spreading it out over 4 years. This school is so confusing though. I have like no idea what the hell im doing with registration.

Yeah I'm a U1 Bsc who did Alevels and I'm not sure of what to register for. I just did it. Yeah I need advice for the mechanisms for doing double major as well.

I'm in U1 too, but I have no idea how long I'm going to study there. If I can finish in 3.5, I probably will. Hopefully I can save some money for grad school. Or convince my parents to let me run around Europe for half a year.

at least it's good to know that i have all u fellow U1s with me...I was thinking of doing it in 3.5 years and i was fumbling about with my schedule and cramming stuff when i realized that if i did, i could potentially be even more slaughtered and fail all my classes. i'll just take my jolly old time doing a minor and taking electives :)

anyhoo, i just looked through the welcome book, and apparently Discover McGill for us is at a different place than the U0 students. Do I have to call the first year office now? cause I sent in that stupid card indicating i was U0

oh its at a different place.. thats nice !! im u1 as well finally done with registration, got my UEA!!
