I’m still waiting on stern

Same here. waiting for stern.

Thanks Miss–your posts are always helpful. For some reason I thought who were a Steinhardt MCC major. They (Dean and a few profs) were very encouraging at the October Open House–hope they have lots of room!!.

Still waiting to hear from Gallatin… Dropped off final transcript the other day and hoping for the best!!

missamericanpie: first of all, thank you so much for your help! i really appreciate the info you’re giving us.

i have a question about greenwich hotel. it says they are 2-4 bedroom suites. what does this mean? for example, in a 2-room suite, is there 2 people in one room, 2 people in another room, and their rooms are connected by a bathroom?

also, is it REALLY far from campus? like would you have to leave an hour early to get to classes? or are there nyu shuttles that take you to campus from greenwich hotel?

Cheer up everyone!
Let’s wait with pride cuz we’ve come this far! :>

btw…NetID? I have a series of nymbers received via Email; is it the NetID?

agreed… to the waiting with pride… i’m just going to wait for the letter in the mail… i tried the net id thing like a week ago, wasn’t able to do it… don’t want to do it again.

and to think around this time last month i was nervous about getting a letter any day now.

hah.

I was just accepted To NYU’s College of Arts and Science! Apparently 4,250 applied for transfer positions, I’m not sure how many were accepted.

To the poster above, the number you have (N with a bunch of numbers following it) is your NYU ID number, it’s given to all applicants. The Net-ID is something you have to register for, google “net-id” NYU and you should find the specific area where you can create one. I think if you can create one that you were accepted. If you have one, you can get into the NYU student page, email, etc. NYU would have not made this information available to all applicants, only those accepted, in my opinion.

Congratulations Honus123! I actually just received an acceptance package to Stern today! Best of luck to everyone else still waiting.

@honus123 - I was under the impression that CAS typically let in ~20% of transfer applicants. So I’m assuming ~850 acceptances (although not all accepted matriculate).

I could be completely off-base though, don’t hold me to it!

& rsb

g-ho is most likely 2 rooms of 2 people connected by a common area/living space, with a common bathroom as well

you can walk since it’s not ridiculously far, 15-20 min. although there should be shuttles that run every 15 min. i’d say if you needed to walk to silver, i’d leave about 30 min before class starts, as the lines for the elevator get pretty long.

darealsha congrts!! can you please post your stats

Are there any community college transfers that have been accepted? if so, what school within NYU?

I was able to create a NetID today. Applied to Stern.

I’m a community college transfer. I’m still waiting to hear because my hs failed to send my transcript in so they just got that last week. However a friend of my from my cc was accepted to applied psychology in steinhardt 2 weeks ago. Don’t freak out though. Their decisions are rolling so the minute they look at your app you get a decision…admitted or rejected…they don’t bulk mail their decisions. Good luck!

I thought they discouraged you from trying to sign up for a net id if you were positive you were admitted?

NYT-

Freshman at top 20ish business school
3.8ish high school gpa
3.95 first semester college gpa
3.81 second semester (midyear grades were requested)

Two recommendations. Not too sure about the quality, but they liked me
All prerequisites fulfilled
ECs were good, nothing special though
I also applied early decision last year.
