would it be an appropriate move to just visit NYU admission office and possibly talk to someone? lol I think im traveling on the margin of becoming a crazy

rofl yes that might be going overboard. i know the wait is annoying, but you’ll know by the end of the month for sure. so don’t lose hope (or your sanity) yet =)

MrSmile - Did you use your SSN or University ID?

Just to confirm one more time:

If I can obtain my NetID/NYU email, I am accepted.

Yes?

If so, I’m got in to Stern today. If not… damn. Haha.

@326qbbsm

Historically yes (though I think one person in this thread mentioned that another person was able to log in but was rejected at the end. You may want to reread this thread to see who and what was mentioned)… but I wouldn’t celebrate until you get your letter.

I blame it on the al’ al’ al’ al’ al’ al’ alcohol.

I just hope my acceptance doesn’t go BOOM BOOM POW.

You guys are so funny x)

I’m waiting on CAS too. I was wondering tho: What’s up with the CAS Florence program? Is that like some second-rate admission bc they force you to ship overseas? I would love to study abroad, but I’ve been to Florence and don’t speak Italian so I was leaning more towards the Paris and Buenos Aires campuses

Accepted. Applied from the University of Michigan.

Now to make my final decision. Risk NYU or go back to Michigan.

liberate,

I can relate. Once I get my letter, I’ll share why. I’d rather not say anything until I know for sure I’m accepted.

Some people may be offered places at NYU campuses overseas next semester to start of their nyu experience because the school or major or program they applied to will not have room in the fall, and then they will come back in the spring and start there nyu experience in new york. Its not second rate or anything, it is just so they can maximize the amount of students they have, and get more transfer students in. I believe they even have this program for first year admissions.

I think I got into Stern. I called to see if my letter got sent out and the woman slipped and said “the acceptance letter will be sent out next week”. I’m not sure if she just generalized a “letter” as acceptance or I actually got in. Who knows. ahha

Is anyone else doing the Florence program for fall 2009?

I heard if they make a decision and send it out the next day and you receive in 1-2 days, you are in. but if it takes awhile to get your decision you are rejected. my roommate told me that acceptance letters are usually by overnight mail and rejection letters are just regular mail. makes sense

Yea, that does make sense. My acceptance letter was sent via First Class Mail.

when did they make a decision and when did they post mark it? was it the same day?

Actually that may not be necessarily true. Someone posted in this thread that s/he was able to create his/her NetID ~a week before getting the letter.

I to make a NetID on thursday and didn’t get my letter till monday.
