214 PA (78 Math 80 CR 56 Writing) I think just below the PA cutoff.

GA, 239
(CW 80, Math 79, Writing 80)

I was surprised, and very pleased (obviously) :D

Violin325 - The PA cutoff for class of 2011 will not be known until September. Your score is near the typical cutoff for PA (213 for class of 2009, and 214 for class of 2010. You have a pretty good chance - good luck!

wowlol - you have a very good chance at commended. It is usually between 200-202 and is a nationwide cutoff.

212 SC…good enough for semi-finalist?

Amazingly enough, 240 from CA. Have no idea how I got so lucky.

Wisconsin 229 (R:80 M:79 W:70) I got screwed by the writing curve too…

And speaking of kids being sick that week, while we were all taking it in the gym, a kid walked up to the front, and threw up right in the middle of the floor, which created a slight disturbance. Thankfully, I was in the back, so it didn’t affect me too much. Poor kid though…

dabrain13 - your chances are good but you are close to the cutoff. The SC cutoff for the past 3 years: 2007 = 210; 2008 = 212; 2009 = 211. So, as long as it doesn’t go up 2 points from last year (unusual but it does happen) you will advance. You’ll find out for sure in late August - good luck!

231 in HI, Wednesday test. 80 CR, 73 M, 78 W.

I have no idea how I scored lowest in math, which is usually my best, or how I scored 80 on CR, which is usually my worst!

2100 This year at least.

Last year I got something like a 2070 or something like that.

screw the psat it sucks balls

i mean seriously i got 60 on the psat and a 580 on sat1 math but a 34 on act math.

215 NY, 70 cr 75 m 70 w

will i qualify for anything?

224(79 Math, 78 Writing, 67 Critical Reading)…NJ. I think i’ll be either right under or right over the cutoffs. damn. what do you guys think?

lampchop375 - the cutoff in NY for the past 3 years (class of 2008, 2009, 2010 respectively): 219, 216, 218

You will definitely be commended but semifinalist would require a 3 point drop. It doesn’t happen often but does happen (as it did 2 years ago). Good luck, and congrats on the great score.

lexluthor - your score looks very good for the NJ cutoff:

previous 3 years: 221, 220, 221

The cutoff would have to increase by 4 points for you to miss it and that’s very unlikely.
Congrats

Is my school like the only one that hasn’t given back the PSAT results? Its actually kinda sad ahah.

Thanks qgroup. i hope I do make it

LiveLifeLoud - I’m very surprised that there are schools that have yet to give out results. My son found out pretty early in December so your school should have had the results for over a month at this point. I would ask.

I’m surprised, too. Like a week or two before the holiday break, a friend of mine saw a stack of the PSATs in a front office and asked when would we get them. A secretary’s response, “When we sort them out.” My school is pretty big (3300+ students) and since all the sophomores and juniors take it I would say there is 2000 PSATs they have to sort. Although my school is large, I find it strange that they still haven’t given it to us. In my opinion, I think its because they know that most people in my school don’t even care about the PSAT, so they just hold off on sorting it. Last year, if I remember correctly, I got my PSAT results the day before winter break in February lol.

Well you’ll get you results online Feb. 1 so you only have to wait a couple more days.
