2009 PSAT scores (Class of 2011)

you do? I never knew that lol. Sorry to sound naive, but how?

It’ll show up online in your Collegeboard account after Feb. 5. It should be here:

[My College QuickStart ?free college planning kit ?PSAT scores online](http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/psat/quickstart.html?excmpid=CBF1-ST-1-PSATreport)

After Feb. 1, you won’t need the access code anymore and it will show up automatically.

Thanks 1254729

qgroup, when you say commended, what do you mean exactly? when will I find that out and what can it do for me?

lambchop - the top 50,000 scorers are ‘commended’. The cutoff is nationwide (as opposed to varying by state), and is usually around 200-202. I don’t know of any automatic scholarships for being commended but it is something to put on applications and is something to be proud of. The top 16,000 scorers are semifinalists and the cutoff scores vary by state and won’t be known until next August.

next august or this august? because it would make no sense to find out after senior year

Sorry, this August for semifinalist and then the following February for finalist. Current seniors are waiting should hear next week if they made finalist.

218 michigan

Just found out! My school’s administration is completely ineffective, so they’ve had the scores for over a month, but won’t be handing them out until 2/9…but hey, on-line scores came up tonight, and…

236! I’m from Arkansas. XD …so, some 33 points over last year’s cutoff (203) in my state. I am very happy. =] (Especially because I walked out of the testing room thinking I’d completely screwed up the math section.)

For reference:
Sophomore PSAT - 228
Sophomore SAT (6/2009) - 2230
Junior SAT - won’t be out until 2/11/10…but shall hopefully reflect this PSAT score…

217 in GA…hope that qualifies me…the past 3-4 years, it has fluctuated fom 214-215 (nothing more, nothing less), so unless more smart kids in GA are in my grade, I’ll get it.

I got a 217 in IL…
Will I be a semifinalist?!

hikaricore - You will very likely be a semifinalist. Congrats. The cutoffs for the previous 3 years in IL were: 213, 214, 214;

218 in Virginia, and the next day I was in a mental hospital. I wish I’d been able to take it when I was less crazy, but oh well. Could I possibly be a semi-finalist?

whoazoe - yes you could possibly be a finalist. The VA cutoff for the previous 3 years: 217, 219, 218; so if it drops by 1 point you will make it. Congrats on the great score - even when you weren’t at your best. Good luck on semifinalist. You will find out in August.

Would analyzing the state summary reports do anything to help predict the NMSF cutoff scores? And in Florida, 3000 less people took the test this year…what would this do statistically?

212, too bad I have to live in texas. Looks like I’m going to miss the cutoff by just a tad. sigh
Oh well, my SAT is much, much better ;)

That’s a good score sunflowersummer, but a tough state cutoff. Your high SAT score will serve you very well next year.

When an how do they notify you if you made semifinalist?

I just need to find out my scores and this website is wasting my time:)

qwert13 - you will find out about the semifinalist cutoff for your state in August most likely from your school. If your school is one of the slower ones to disperse the info, check this forum in August. The cut off numbers will be tallied as they roll in for each state.
