<p>This wait is devastating! I e-mailed the NYU counselor to see whether or not they can provide me a decision by e-mail. I think I have solid reason. The reason is that I will be travelling back to Taiwan soon. It will take at least three weeks for mail to arrive!</p>

<p>NYU SCPS uses a separate application. If I don't get into NYU Gallatin should I go ahead and apply for the SCPS program?</p>
<p>NYU SCPS admissions is handled at another office. The deadline to apply to NYU SCPS is December 15. I am just wondering does a degree from NYU SCPS carry equal weight as a degree from other NYU undergraduate programs?</p>
<p>Well, actually, this was my back up plan if i didn't get into NYU...
So, there are 2 possibilities for NYU SCPS :
- you register as a non-matriculate student (no competition for this process, you are pretty much guaranteed admission)
- or you apply for the degree at NYU SCPS (more selective than the former)
I dont really know about the quality of this degree, but it's still NYU you know.. it probably doesn't have the same value than a degree for CAS or gallatin, but its still a good start... I believe SCPS is made for alduts who want to specialize in a specific branch (real estate, fashion...).
You could register in SCPS and show NYU you can do well in their school !! (also the courses are supposed to be a bit easier).

<p>Still in school, still waiting for a decision. Though I'm already in the process of setting up a visiting student semester with another school just incase of the likely event that NYU doesn't accept me. I'll at least get to check out NYC for a semester and see if I like the urban setting which I bet I will. Then see what happens from there.</p>
