<p>I was about to come home to get ready to go out, and for some reason ended up at Barnes and Noble and bought a GMAT study book to get ready for grad school...lol I felt like such a nerd!</p>

Completed 38 credits with 18 in progress
Columbia University Summer Session GPA 3.67 (A-)
Completed 3 credits with 2 courses (1 was P/F)</p>
<p>Possible Hook: My dad is adjunct at the tisch school</p>
<p>Applied to: College of Arts and Sciences under art history</p>
<p>EC: Ballet (currently about 10 hrs a week; HS=40), Financial Literacy Ambassadors, Upward Bound(mentor/TA), PT child caretaker, PT jewelry exhibition staff for an auction house in NYC, Note-taker for Columbia University in Basic Mathematics</p>
<p>interesting facts: I took a gap year to continue dancing ballet--> realized I didnt want to dance professionally anymore </p>
<p>SAT/ACT: I did not submit any. They told me it was not necessary.</p>

<p>and michael-try to set your expectation to recieving your decision in a week or two...i know its frustrating and you want to hear back already, but most people still havent heard back and probably won't until the end of next week or the week after that...if you expect to have your decision in the mail everyday your only going to be frustrated if its not there...just hold out a little bit longer! youve managed to hang in there for most of the way. you'll probably get in so the extra wait might be worth it and the reward that much sweeter</p>

<p>dufflebagjesus- you're right! i am eventually going to get a decision and thinking about it is just frustrating me. i am just going to go on with life and not get frustrated or angry until i receive a response from nyu.</p>
