<p>Musicwise, I listened to a loop of I’m From Barcelona - their random song topics are really good at making me creative.</p>
<p>Haven’t had anyone accepted to MIT since 2000, and that’s as far back as records go. Meh -.-</p>

<p>At my school, if you want a transcript and letter of rec, you have to enter the info into naviance, otherwise no transcript for you. It’s mandatory. Everyone gets an account sophomore year (whether they like it or not), and they make us take personality tests on it and a bunch of useless stuff like that. They don’t even use the feature that would let us submit everything online, so everything is paper anyway. We only use it to track acceptances and rejections and annoy all the students.</p>

<p>I am waiting until I get a letter. I don’t want to find out from my computer. After a couple days (when the tubes are supposed to get here), I’ll check the site if I don’t get one. I want to extend that hope a little while longer. And I don’t want to find out from my computer. It’s so impersonal. I want the feeling of a physical letter. That said, I really don’t want to feel a deferral or rejection like that. I’d want it online and impersonal. it’d hurt less (I hope).</p>
<p>I still haven’t decided if I want to wait for the mail for my other schools. I think I’ll wait for the mail for UChicago. It’s a traditional school, so it deserves a traditional notification. If only I had more patience. (Anyone else here applying EA?)</p>

<p>My high schools has maybe 1 or two MIT acceptees every year. </p>
<p>Last year there was one, two years go there was two accepted!</p>
<p>All were ranked at least top 10 out of like 500 kids.</p>
<p>@kitkatkatie: I thought about not looking, but my willpower is not that great. Besides, I don’t really mind if my decision is impersonal. To me, it’s a decision, and I want to know ASAP! :P</p>

I was thinking about not looking as well. I’m still considering not looking until finals are over (so that if the decision is not good then my grades won’t suffer) but I don’t know for sure. I have a friend who applied early to Duke and she gets her decisions on the 15th, which just happens to be her birthday so she said she’s not looking until the following day lol.</p>
<p>Whether or not I look depends on when they release decisions - if it’s on a school day I plan to wait until school is over to look. I also plan on keeping the decision to myself for at least a day, so I can process it without people being overly sympathetic.</p>
<p>It’s not the rigor I am worried about, its being accepted.</p>
<p>This thread has contradicted its purpose and everyone is talking about the decisions coming up. I meant this thread to serve as a distraction to the anxiousness caused by the waiting.
On a sidenote, music suggestions for a ton of homework I have yet to do for tonight?

<p>To everyone who is worried that no one gets in from your school, think about like this. If 1 in 10 applicants gets in, those people who didn’t get in are just increasing our chances! =D My school, as well as many of everyone else’s I’m sure, is more than do for an MIT acceptance.
