@linds248, I know the waiting process can be very stressful. Hang in there! We are working hard to make and announce decisions every week.

@hailtopitt1787 You may not be allowed to answer this, but I was curious if the decisions are released in cycles like every Tuesday and Thursday, for example, or if they are released every day? If you can’t answer the question, then don’t worry about it! Your comments on this thread have already been very helpful so far and I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate them.
@Nrnjersey124, To be honest, I am not entirely sure. But I do not think we have specific days we send out our decisions.
Hope that helps. Best of luck!

Awesome thanks for the help! @hailtopitt1787
Received my “paper” acceptance today, finally! It was being held by the UPS because the envelope was open. Somebody must have read it and decided that it was probably something I needed to receive. I did call the Pitt Admissions on Monday and they were going to send out another letter. So now I can be double sure that I was accepted!
Congrats to everyone and their acceptances! This wait is killing me right now
@njstudent3333 what was your intended major? I got deferred with 1850 SAT and 4.0 GPA
Getting kind of nervous. Application submitted 9/13 and still haven’t gotten an email. Seems like most people heard in a shorter amount of time?
Just realized I forgot to send Pitt the SAT scores, only the ACT scores. Just sent today. Wonder if this is/will hold up the admissions process or not? Can the Pitt admissions person on this thread let me know their thoughts on that?
I would call them on Monday to tell them SAT scores are on the way.
@9pickles, If we have one set of scores, plus your application, transcript or self reported academic record, and application fee, we will move forward with reviewing your application. If you sent ACT scores, your missing SAT scores shouldn’t hold up the application process.
The length of time you are waiting shouldn’t be anything to worry about, though. Some applications take a little longer to review than others, but it doesn’t necessarily mean anything about what kind of decision you will receive.
I would encourage you to call or email our office and let us know your SAT scores are on the way. We can also take a look at the status of your application and let you know if anything is missing.

I submitted my app September 1st and all of my forms and scores were in on September 25th. Does anyone have a general guess as to when I should hear?
@hailtopitt1787 My application was marked complete on 9/23. I was just wondering when I should be hearing back because everyone else from earlier has been notified about 2 weeks after that date, so I’m getting worried. Thanks
@golfstudent13, You shouldn’t worry. Some decisions take the Admissions Committee a little longer, but it’s not necessarily indicative of what kind of response you will get. Our Committee works hard to give everyone a thorough and efficient review. You should hear soon!

Hi njstudent3333: - Could you please share course details like AP,Honors etc taken during HS? Are you a in-state or out-of-state? When did you applied? Thx
Accepted OOS with 34 ACT, 3.9UW, 4.1W
So I emailed my admissions processor yesterday asking about the status of my application, and she said my decision has been made and that I should hear back shortly. Still haven’t heard back… Any thoughts?
@linds248 when was your application marked as complete?
@Nrnjersey124 September 19th
First acceptance for my son! (Before our state university even!) We are on the west coast.
