AHHHHH. I’ve checked the mailbox everyday for like a solid month. Still nothing…

Nothing for us either…frustrating.

My D is also waiting. She spoke to admissions last week. The woman told her they have a stack of notifications waiting to be mailed.

Hope they mail one our way!!

Same here. I emailed them a while ago, hoping to hear back soon.

We’re confused about the “early” acceptances they’re sending out. My son’s friend received his acceptance the day after Christmas. He and my son have the exact same CR+M SAT score. If you add in writing, my son is 100 points higher. The only major difference in the two is that my son’s friend is 720 Math + 500 reading on SAT and my son is 650 Math +570 reading. Could the math over 700 be the difference? Their GPA’s are within hundredths of a point.

I thought they were sending these acceptances only for the merit scholarships. Yet my son’s friend received no merit scholarship in his acceptance. I wish Clemson would do like other schools and have somewhere you can check the status of your application and credentials online. It’s so frustrating!

My son received his acceptance today. He had received a preliminary offer near the end of the last school year. He didn’t get very much merit money offered ($5,000 per year) unfortunately which probably makes it out of our reach as an OOS student. But, it’s nice to finally have the offer. He has a 4.0u/4.3w, 1320/2010 and is top 10%.

Congrats on the letter! Sorry to hear it may not work though.

Does anyone know, could the money be increased now if someone increases their test scores? I would doubt it, but…

Thanks! We don’t hold out much hope for more money - but would love to be pleasantly surprised Would love to hear too if anyone else ever gets more down the road.

Son received his acceptance yesterday but the merit award ($10000/yr) may not be enough to make it affordable. He had a 3.2uw/3.8w gpa and a 2100 SAT. Received a much better award at Alabama and we are hoping for good $ from USC and CofC.

I know the ACT cutoff for the 15k is a 32, and that converts to a 2130. Your son is very close to that. If Clemson is a top choice, it might be worth asking if he improves his score, can he go back and get the 15k.

tigerin13, do you know what ACT is needed for $10,000?

I don’t. I have a significantly better ACT so I was working with ACT scores. I just used a conversion chart for the previous post.

Here are the conversions: (according to [SAT-ACT Conversion chart](http://teachers.sduhsd.k12.ca.us/lccounseling/sat-act_conversion_chart.htm)) So I can’t guarentee those are the exact numbers but should be close.
32 2130 -15k
31 2040
30 1980
29 1920
28 1860 -5k

I know that those ACT scores have different values, but I don’t remember exactly what is what. I believe there is a 7.5k and 10k, don’t know what the other would be. 12.5 maybe? I personally though that it started at a 29 but thats not true according to their site.

Quite frankly, I think you could just call them and ask, they have been VERY helpful every time I talk to them.

I’m so confused! I got accepted yesterday with 1,000 a year but I have a 32 act score or a 33 if they super score. I’m in state does that matter?

Yes. Out of state is significantly more so they try to reduce that significianty more.

Also, just got my acceptance! Very Excited!

Oh yeah okay thanks! And congratulations!

Thanks a bunch!

What about other smaller scholarships? When, if at all, are those awarded? Things like departmental scholarships of smaller amounts.

I believe that is up to the smaller parties, such as departments. Also, they require FAFSA to be completed I believe, which isn’t due for them until March 1st. So, I would assume its after march 1st for most, and just as the small scholarships are decided, you are told.

I do believe I heard someone say that, but I could be wrong.

Thanks tigerin13 and congratulations!!!
