htx12: i also applied to the college of education! did you have to send in spring grades?

oh congrats on getting into liberal arts!!
and yeah for college of education i did have to send in my spring grades and I have 42 hrs and am currently taking math 142 right now. the only classes that i didnt have in the 2 boxes are tech writing and speech so I dont know. I did hear they go in phases of schools so maybe education has not made their decisions yet! let me know if you hear anything!

i def will! and keep me posted on your app as well!
the only classes i don’t have in the box are gov I and the KINE course. i’m in TX history right now, but other than that i completed the rest of the minimum requirements.

hey xkristi19x just thought I’d let you know that I e-mailed the chair today asking if I was on the list of applicants, and when I could expect a decision. She replied with I am currently working on transfer applications as we text, and that I was on the list of applicants. She said so far, so well. Whatever that means!

good to know your on the list! lol i wish they could give some ballpark figure timeframe… the only thing i’ve heard was from jon and it was the same thing he told you about the end of june/ beginning of july. i hope this is still true!

Anyone in here can help me! I really don’t understand what happen now on my application, I have checked on site, I was denied, and already resent Spring grade alredy on May to reconsider, but, it look like they’re not reconsider for me at all, only one thing changed after submit my Spring grade is My second choice (Gerneral Studie)come back! But other thing not change at all, still in step 4 with mess Communicate Admission Decision was maled on 5/7 (my last denied letter)! So what I should do right now???
Thanks

I just means that your Spring transcript hasn’t been processed yet, once it is your app will move back to step 3. It is possible that it won’t be reviewed until the end of the month, and you won’t know until the first part of July what your admissions decision was. If you want, contact this guy, he helped me a lot through the admissions period.

My reconsider letter was mailed TODAY(Step 4), but the Howdy site didn’t change… how long after mailing did the accepted howdy sites change? Also no Step 5 has appeared yet. (Econ)

Wow, badnew! My reconsider letter was mailted on 25th! But, it seem like nothing change! They not reconsider anything, because after I sent out my Spring Transcript on May, Nothing change on the site, even only the Second choice. And the step of process show they review my transcrip on March (which means my Fall grade), otherwise, the Step NOT move back to step 3 also! It stay like forever on Step 4! Last time, it shown same sentence like letter mailling out on May… and today it says Letter mailling out on 25!
I think I get denie, letter will receive tomorrow.
Bad luck for me!!!

my AIS changed back to step 3 for reconsideration. did anybody else’s change too?

So I am hoping to transfer to USC as a sophomore after completing the 30+ units at East Los Angeles College. However i had taken an Environmental Science class at ELAC before High School graduation that i received a ‘C’ in. (I did get a 4 on the AP exam though if that makes a difference). I also took two other math classes way back before high school, one which is also a ‘C’. These grades are on my transcript so i was wondering if they are going to be calculated in my overall transfer GPA (and thus severely drag it down) despite the fact i took them so long ago.

Please let me know if you have any info on it!! Its driving me crazy!!!

i doubt i’ll hear anything this week, but since you’ve been on step 3 longer than me you might know before me. i thought they send out all the letters that are within the same college at once, but i could be wrong.

and i got my initial denial letter may 12th, so it shouldn’t be too much longer!

I’m STILL waiting on mine. I’ve been on step 3 for nearly 3 weeks now.

I moved to step five today. I didn’t get into mechanical but, I did get into aerospace.

Congratulations, ampzor! What a relief to finally have a positive answer.

congrats ampzor! I cant believe im still on step 3! Got accepted to UT weeks ago…I think they may have lost my app or something. Are you still going to UT or are you going to reconsider about going to a&m.

Well, I am already set up for UT (orienation is monday). I would have liked to goto A&M but, there will be a year worth of set backs for me if I did choose A&M over UT. At A&M I couldn’t take any of my major sequence classes until I complete two intro classes which would put me a year behind since each of those classes can’t be taken in the same year. I also wouldn’t have anything left to take in the Spring '10 since all of my basics would have been done by then. At UT I can just dive into my major coursework. It was a difficult choice, but the odds played against me going to A&M.

I didn’t mean to post this out of spite. I wanted to let the rest of the engineering majors who are still waiting know that I heard back.
