Just curious how many transfer students from other colleges have applied to A&M for this upcoming fall!

I sent off my transcript last week after completing the spring semester as I initially did not have enough credits to be considered for admission at the conclusion of fall semester. It cracks me up to see how much of a pain transferring is. We are told in high school how easy it is to transfer between colleges... Hah!

My primary choice is May's Business School with a secondary choice of General Studies. I do not fulfill the requirements to get into May's (and plus they take very few transfers each fall) but hopefully a 4.0 GPA will be good enough for General Studies.

I wish you luck! And I hope programs aren't full like it seems to information on these forums insist.

Im trying to transfer as well. I have a 4.0 and 30 hours completed. My first choice major is agribusiness but ill probably be placed in general studies if they accept me. Im hoping they have spaces open as well.

Yeah, I’ve got a 4.0 on 37 hours (but 7 hours won’t count towards the Core Curriculum). I just fear if I do not get in this fall I will be hosed if I have to try to get into Mays directly in the following fall.

I originally wanted to apply to mays since I am currently enrolled in the business school at the college im at now but its extremely difficult to get in as a transfer. If I get accepted I think it will be to general studies and then I can either decide if I want to do an internal transfer into mays or to the school of agriculture and do agribusiness. At this point I just want to be accepted and will figure out which program I want to do when I get to A&M.

I’m in the same boat. I’m a transfer trying to get into Mays, but at this point I would settle for Econ. I wish Econ majors could get a minor in Business Admin. though and not just in Business. UT even lets their Econ majors take a few classes inside McCombs and not just the survey and principle classes. Oh and I have a 3.8 with like 40 hours and all the classes except MGT 211 done. Good Luck, everyone.

I just checked my AIS for the first time in a couple of days and it changed back to step 3, and put Mays Undeclared back into my first choice major…similar for you all as well?.

So how long are yall expected to wait, oh and by the way, for the people that applied to mays, did any of you apply for the summer? I think I read somewhere that it may be easier to get in if applied for summer.

To be honest I have no idea. In the past people have found out between early june all the way towards the end of june or so. I think it varies between each applicant.

Hmm, mine didn’t change back to step 3 yet. It says that they received my transcript on the 20th though in the documents.

Anyways, i’m hoping to get into the college of science as a molecular and cell biology major. I have 41 hours(49 after summer) with a 4.0. I really really hope there is room for us! I REALLY do not want to have to write another freaking essay, especially after all the hard work i’ve done to try to get in this next fall.

Also, I’m getting up there in the hours, which means general studies probably won’t take me…

Me too, if I go as a Gen. Studies Major I won’t be able to take the 30 hours in residence and still be under the 75 hour cap for Mays. Under my AIS they have Econ as my second choice major, but I found out the first time I got rejected that Econ doesn’t accept second choice majors. Do any of you think I can change it to something elseat this point?
