We are in the same boat :)

In actuality, the 2140 on my SAT is a super-score from 4 separate test dates,
almost a year of study and 3 months of both Testmasters & Princeton Review, mostly LUCK.
Thanks anyways ----

Said the same thing for me for only about 2 weeks after I applied, and then it goes to “pending review”, then it goes to acceptance, (was accepted tuesday), so dont worry guys you’re all usf and above material

Wow! I applied to USF but I am very worried. 27 Act superscored but very very low GPA. I grew up in Tampa and really want to go to USF.
I can’t compete with you guys!
: (

Good luck to you!

drpeppersson-
Hi-
Your 27 ACt is a good score and myself, like many others are using USF as a safety school, so if I do get accepted to USF, I probably will not attend anyways. Good Luck

Thanks David. No safety schools for me. USF is my one and only. If I do not get accepted there, it will be community college for me. I hope you get your 1st choice!

UPDATE----
Yet another week and same message-
–Your application is currently under review. A final decision will be made shortly and you will be notified by mail of the decision. --

Anyone else ?

@david

Mine says “we have not reached a final decision regarding your admission candidacy”. What is the difference between mine and yours?

David…Lizard told you to relax and that you were probably being considered for HONORS college. Read between the lines. Lizard is associated with USF in some capacity and is probably an Admissions Representative. I would just sit tight and be patient at this point.
As my mother would say “Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face.” I hope you get an answer soon and I hope it is HONORS!!!

@ Kyle013194

Mine says the exact same thing.

My application was complete Sept. 2 for Summer and I still haven’t heard anything

I’m a student at USF, not an admission officer. I graduate from USF next spring; I’m completing applications for admission to graduate schools now. USF has a master’s degree program that is my first choice and I hope to continue my graduate studies at USF.

No harm intended. You sounded very knowledgeable and informed. Sorry for the intrusion. : )

@daviddj

I’m still with ya bud :)

I still have that message as well. Maybe it is the honors college, who knows.

I honestly wish success to all of those here that have been offered admissions to USF in the past week and for myself, yet another week has passed and I have noticed that those here on this board have been selected for admission with lower stats than myself.
I wonder if I did something wrong or left something important out ? Still waiting !

david, phone USF admissions (813-974-3350) to check on your status. Tell them it’s been a month since they posted they were going to mail you decision shortly. Maybe their letter was misdirected? Phone and ask what’s up. Good luck!

Lizard-
Thanks for the advise and I just plan on waiting as USF is a safety school for me. My may concern was that if I did something wrong and got declined for an error, then I wished to be advised of the error so that I could correct it for FSU & UF. Thanks

Why just wait? How will you know if you did something wrong or if you got declined for an error if you never contact them or they never contact you?

Lizard…Does the South Florida office make their own decisions regarding applicants from that region? I have not heard anything either. When USF came to my school earlier this month, the representative said that I may be deferred because of my GPA. My status never changed. I want to know too but am afraid to rock the boat. In my case, maybe no news is good news.

dr. p, go ahead and phone admissions, they’re not going to bite you! Tell them you just want to check if they have everything they need from you, ask if they have any advice for you to help you get in, and ask when you can expect a decision from them. Good luck! Phoning sometimes works better than emailing. If they are busy and ask you to leave your name and number, do so and leave a detailed message asking above stuff, they’ll call you back. As long as you don’t phone them every day, you’re not pestering them.

That’s really weird. I didn’t even know they did deferment. I just got accepted today, after only finalizing my application yesterday, lol. Good luck! If you get accepted it’ll say this:

“Congratulations! You have been admitted to the University of South Florida!”
