If you ever get into that position, just know my friend, that you will never be on the other side of it with that girl. Avoid being the guy that girls go to when they need someone to "vent" with. leave that stuff up to their other girl friends, otherwise, you will always be hearing about the guys she laid, or wants to lay, and you'll never make that list, for the simple fact that you are her "go to guy" that allows her to not feel like the slut she is! Sorry to be so crude, but the reality is that girls are just as sexually driven as guys, whether they will admit it or not, but they are just more apt to save face about it and try to make excuses or justifications in a round about way for why they slobbered all over some P last night.</p>
<p>The Who, don't make it into some high school drama. Don't be indecisive either. And don't worry about popularity. It's amazing how so many of the people who were popular in my school in 8th and 9th grade have turned out be total emotional time bombs and just turned their lives into a huge mess in general. If the girl isn't a complete moron she isn't going to reject you based on the fact that you aren't as popular as she is.</p>
<p>Great points wraider... I have to agree with the "emotional time bomb" stuff. Popularity is not always the best medicine for hooking up with girls anyways. If you keep it on the DL, you get what you want, and your reputation has half a chance if she/you decide to break it off. One secret in hooking up with a girl you want to hook up with is.....keep the emotions out of it. Let the emotions be hers, don't get trapped by your own emotions, lest you turn into a desperate "high school drama" freak.</p>
<p>In high school, the jerks win out. It's not fair or even healthy to a man's conscience, but treating a woman like a disposable tissue through attitude will win you the most action. Being "nice" doesn't get appreciated because of immaturity issues. In high school it is very easy to get whomever you want, no matter how popular or hot they are. As was mentioned earlier, giving off a nonchalant "I don't care if you say no to me" attitude will work in your favor. Desperation will only leave you lonely. You can't let hot people know you think they are attractive -- otherwise they know they have a degree of influence over you with looks. If you keep such opinions internalized, you will be mysterious to them -- they will essentially be at your mercy and pursue. I **** you not -- be chill and you'll win out.</p>
<p>Besides, you pretty much separate from everybody come college anyhow. High school is just the nation's largest day-care system -- use it as a playground and have fun. It will give you some experience by the time people become more serious and appreciative of "nice" individuals.</p>

<p>I didn't say that applied to everyone, just most. A lot of people in high school don't see the true advantages of a "nice guy" and will want the more instantly-gratifying nature of a "jerk." "Nice guys" tend to get overlooked by the majority until later on in life.</p>

<p>Anyways...do you talk to this girl at all? If some random guy in one of my classes just came up to me and asked me out on a date...........I would be a little freaked out. You MUST flirt with her. You have NO IDEA how flattering it is. Girls are tired of just waiting around for guys to come our way. </p>
<p>Example: Last year I was in a small club with only 5 guys and 5 girls. The two hottest guys were the most outgoing and totally won every girls heart (including mine). Another guy was pretty hot, and two of them were not so much. The pretty hot guy was really quiet, and I actually forgot that he was in the club last year until he came back this year adn we started talking. The ugly guys outshined the quiet one...so no matter how good/bad looking you are.....be outgoing!</p>
